Re: Scott Servais Poll
I don't really like his style but i think it is probably true that managers don't impact the win totals that much. Plus, the lineups are put together by Jerry as much as SS (at least according to Salk).

I don't love Scott but I don't think any other manager would necessarily get any more out of this team. There have been a few head scratcher's such as deciding to pitch to trout last year with first base open but I think that over a 162 game season you will get moments like that with almost every manager. I will say that I think Scott bungled the playoffs last year by not trusting his bullpen against Houston. However, in general, It's the one choosing the players and constructing the roster that needs to be scrutinized.
Re: Scott Servais Poll
Jerry’s roster divisions have 10 times more effect on the record than anything that servais has or hasn’t done, and yes, I think the roster decisions are still on Dipoto. It’s tough, because I like how he has drafted, but don’t like how they keep doing things half way. The rebuild they decided to keep a few valuable pieces, including Haniger who would have brought a haul, then they traded for Castillo, but decided to not do anything else significant

Nobody working for an Org brilliant enough to come up with the idea of a hello kitty giveaway in the final week of a playoff race should get fired. You get a promotion! You get a promotion! You get a promotion! You get a promotion! You get a promotion!

More like Hello Shitty.

SS. Should have a little culpability with how they came out. He was stuck with roster given however he didn’t get them to perform. He won’t be fired bc he just signed a new contract and that would waste Stanton monies

Since it said should and will? I wasn’t sure how to answer. He’ll probably get scapegoated and fired, but he shouldn’t. This is on Jerry. I’m not even sure I blame the players much. Who underproduced? When you build an average roster, this is what you get. They are lacking in way too many spots.
France and Geno at the corners? Maybe they underproduced, but I just think they aren’t that good.
Kelenic as a Corner OFer? He’s not very good.
2nd base is a weaknesses and DH is a fucking blackwhole. The roster is what it is. IMO? It’s a miracle we are even still in contention.

SS is a minimal part of the problem. I think he is overprotective. Our biggest problem is poor roster construction and a reluctance to going after that proven offensive player to put us over the top. Mike will love this: Look what Penix did for the Dawgs
Re: Scott Servais Poll
SS may be not much more than Jerry's marionette, but the club needs to make a change. You know they will stay with Kelenic even though they have better options right now. They do that for two reasons. First, he has so much "potential." Second, Jerry doesn't want to look like he made a mistake. Both reasons are not productive. But it's what we are stuck with. They still need to make a statement move, but I don't see any other managers out there who could get more production out of the team what with the current philosophy. Look at it this way, only 19 more years to go before we get in to the playoffs again!
