And who would have thought that Jay Bruce would end up being the best bat we got in the Cano/Diaz trade.

Kelenic with a .656 OPS since the trade, Bruce put up a .746 OPS in the rest of his career after the Mariners acquired him.

Mike Hampton for Eric Anthony

Omar Vizquel for Fermin and Jesse Jefferson

Swift, Burba and Jackson for Kevin Mitchell.

Lowe and Varitek of course for a lousy reliever.

Close here, Guillen for two stiffs to Det, horrible deal.

What is worse is after that trade we traded Cruz Jr. for two more mediocre relievers. I think Cruz Jr. would have been good here.

That said, it has to be Adam Jones for Erin Bedard, doesn't it? That was so bad.

Matter of degree, the Tino deal I thought was slighly less horrid.

Trading established players for crap is the worst deal

The trades of Asdrubal Cabrera and Shin soo choo for Perez and Broussard were bad.

Jose Cruz Jr to the Jays, while he never turned out like his dad, it was a steal for Toronto.

Trading Varitek, a switch-hitting catcher with power, along with Lowe, a young pitcher for whom Lou had no patience, I assume he approved the deal?
