OT: Best Comedy (poll)

Call them "dramedies" or "dark comedies" if you prefer, but they were a hell of a lot funnier (in my opinion) than movies that are billed as super hilarious laugh fests.

Here's a scene from each to refresh your memories:

I went with American Psycho - but easily the greatest comedy of all time is the Seattle Mariners - biggest punchline in the history of professional sports. 50 years of overwhelming mediocrity. You want jokes? They got jokes! Front office? joke! Playoff runs? Joke! WS appearances? None! American League Pennants? None! A franchise so hilariously bad that, the year after they were the lowest run producing team in the league - they trotted out a new scoreboard - for a team that doesn't score! THAT is comedy GOLD! The movie will star wacky Nic Cage as the manager and Alicia Silverstone from her Clueless days as the GM.

I would argue that the current era is even worse than the terrible eras when we had no money and no good players. We were on the cusp of being a World Series team and they just flush it down with a toilet for some b******* cost savings and sustainability nonsense.

If only they would have just let the team move to Tampa we could be at peace

Hey, c'mon man! I enjoy watching a AAAA team stumble through 162 games with no hope of ever going anywhere in the post season. I have to admit, though. I stopped paying for tickets, beer, food, and parking. Now I almost have enough to purchase a condo in Florida!

Oh, and I think I enjoy watching a Hallmark movie more than the Mariners!

Well, now you've got something to do until the start of the Huskies game in 3 hours 15 min.

As a long distance fan anyways, yeah, moving probably would have worked out better if it meant different ownership.

Not to mention Florida would be a much better place to visit. Once you've seen Pike's it's like San Francisco and the wharf. Pass.

I'm looking forward to the A's moving to Las Vegas. Easy trip. Fun place. Will be a great getaway, and nice way to avoid Seattle. And by then they probably won't suck either because they'll start building around a core once they're out of the Oakland dump.

Haven't seen the movies besides American Psycho which I just thought was weird, but will watch them if I see them on.
