Yes that is his best hope to have a serviceable OPS along with sticking at catcher of course.

He mentions Dalton Varsho as a comp. Varsho put up 3.9 WAR with a .674 OPS.

Yeah that insane that I guy that was a catcher turns out to be an incredible OFer. Gives me hope for Ford.

I am admittedly biased for Walter because I have interacted with him on X but he was a second round pick. Looking forward to seeing how he does in Modesto.

Mariners prospects are pretty exciting right now. In 25+ years of following and observing this system, I've never seen the organization with anything like the collecion of young hitters that we have right now. It's actually very very impressive.
