Congrats to former Mariner Adrian Beltre for making the HOF in his first year of eligibility.
Naturally, Ichiro is a lock for next year. My question for the collective wisdom on this board is whether he will be a unanimous choice. Should be, and will be are 2 different questions - anyone predicting all the vote casters will cast theirs for Ichiro?
Also, anyone think King Felix will make it. Ever?
Good article in the The Athletic on this:

Sorry but just a Bizarre question. Beltre had 93.5 WAR and only got 95% of the vote. Why would Ichiro with 60.0 WAR get even close to 100%?
Randy had 101 WAR and 97%.
I am sure he will be a 1st ballot HOFer but other than with Mariano for some strange reason there are always voters that don't vote for guys on the first ballot and they aren't going to start by voting for a leadoff hitter with the the 588th highest OBP in baseball history.
And no, Felix won't make it.

Whoa, quite the statement by Boone. Trying to get clarity on Ichiro:

Beltre, 2005-2009, with Mariners:
Home: .718 OPS, .311 wOBA
Away: .797 OPS, .341 wOBA
Beltre, 2010-2017, not with Mariners:
Home: .949 OPS, .403 wOBA
Away: .821 OPS, .350 wOBA
Amazing what playing your Home games in a decent park can do for you.
Close to the same player in Away games, just switched Home parks and looked elite again.

You know you can just click on it, right? The guy asked if there are any other guys that should be in the HOF conversation. Boone later liked my post but did not reply...

He will be but I can understand why guys that don't vote for anyone on the first ballot won't change their ways for him.

Darren you are forgetting your wokeness here
. Ichiro, being Asian, will get all of the votes because anything less would be racist. And to top it off, they will take into account his Japanese records. Adding those makes him a 100%er
