He looked great today. Had a great at bat and then threw out a runner at second… very impressive for how young he is……..
Papierski is actually 28. In 8 seasons (one in MLB in 2022) he is .226 \ .359 \ .351 \ .710 so not much more than spring training fodder for pitchers to get in some work, but a good stash in Tacoma for a little depth.
In his one year, 2022, in the bigs, he played in 39 games for the Reds and Giants and batted .159 \ .242 \ .207 \ .449 so we should all fear if the papier bat actually gets a call up. He's had a good spring, though.

Zavala is not a good stick, either. They both seem to be good fielding catchers. Seby throws out runners at a 27% clip. 'Ski is 22%.

I had never heard of Papsmear before seeing him live at the Peoria game. I assumed he was just a kid and after posting that comment I later looked him up back at Darren’s pad and was surprised to see he has played for awhile. I see him as a really good pitch framer and with a good arm. He nailed a throw to second and the hit a home run. I haven’t seen seby do anything close.
It's hard to tell with catchers, but I think there's a chance he could be the better sort of backup catcher, a guy that is actually good at the position and not a black hole in the lineup, maybe even a slight plus.

On his defensive ability, I don't know how to evaluate pitch framing, but his career passed ball numbers are outstanding. That's especially impressive in a minor leaguer when you consider that pitchers in the minors, as a rule, are wilder than they are in the majors.

I dunno who is watching the game today. I have it on in the background, and the M's just had a huge inning.

I was just looking at the stats for today's starters - it's insane. These are like video game stats! These batting averages and OPSs are crazy. God I wish they looked this way at the all star break. ;)

Is Polonco for real, can we expect him to be an above average hitter, or will he get bit by the Tmobile park bug?

Don't jinx it!!!

He's having a hella pre-season. God I hope he's the real deal and doesn't flame out like a dishwasher when the warranty expires.

He obviously won’t continue with 1.200 OPS, but having 800 + would definitely be a welcome change to 2B.

3/4th's of the team doesn't want to leave Arizona.

What I would give for this to be real on opening day.

Just wish this offense could stay in this nice weather. Going to cold Seattle might not be good hopefully they stay hott. Everyone is hitting. Just gotta hopefully continue. Best offense on the spring and worst pitching.

Seattle just had 5 straight days of clear, 65-72 degree weather in the middle of March. Back to rain and clouds and a high of 50 next week. Sigh...

On Tuesday the seven Mariner pitchers combined for 11 strikeouts and zero walks.

Zero walks. In Spring Training.
