Final Tally on the Diaz/Cano for JK trade
Re: Final Tally on the Diaz/Cano for JK trade
Regarding the Kelenic trade, do the Mariners do due diligence on the players they bring in???
Perhaps, a medical exam on the arm or shoulder...

Sadly I don't even think they do their due diligence on players they spend decent money on.
James Paxton is a great example. I highlighted the dates.

For the prospect it seems they failed because I don't believe he threw a single pitch before needing another TJ surgery. Kowar though pitched well with high velo in several ST games so probably injured it in his last outing. Can't do much about that.

Jesus, what an indictment. At least SS and that Trainer were wearing masks though so very diligent in that dept.bpj wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 8:27 amSadly I don't even think they do their due diligence on players they spend decent money on.

I thought this was hilarious. 3 Braves OFer/DH. All have 27 ABs. One is a legit proven hitter in Ozuna with 11 hits. One is a former Mariners B prospect that washed out with us that has 5 hits and the last is dear Kelenic with 2 hits in 27 ABs.

Seems Braves fans are a lot faster learners than M's fans. Or maybe they expect their players to be good.

It took some Mariners fans an awfully long time to learn that the best thing about beating your head against a wall is that it feels so good when you stop.
Thank god he's the Braves's problem now.
Re: Final Tally on the Diaz/Cano for JK trade
Here is another hilarious twist. Former M's farmhand Forrest Wall is hitting .429 with a 1.395 OPS this Spring. JK is 0-2 today and now 2-29 for an .069 BA and .251 OPS. Wall could beat him out and be the starting LFer for the Braves. lol

Acquired from Seattle in the offseason, Kelenic is expected to fill an everyday role for Atlanta in left field, but as yet the 24-year-old hasn't found a groove at the plate. Should his spring struggles extend into the regular season, he could lose playing time and even fall into a platoon, with Marcell Ozuna potentially getting starts in left field against left-handed pitching in Kelenic's place. As yet, however, Atlanta's coaching staff hasn't seemed concerned about his performance.

2-30 now and has a history of diabolical slumps but they aren't concerned in the least because they know once the regular season starts he will be one of the best hitters in baseball due to his awesome track record..Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 6:54 pmCBS sports

Very surprising they didn't say publicly, "Wow this guy really does suck"
