Former 2023 Mariner update

Post by D-train » Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:11 pm

RR They are saying he is out until mid Summer. That is technically about the second week of August. One set back and they will shut him down for the season

Justin Topa: 7.71 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in 7 IPS and then this...

Paul Sewald: 0.00 ERA in 6 innings and a 0.83 WHIP

Isaiah Campbell: Lights out 0.00 ERA in 8.1 innings and a .60 WHIP, 9 Ks

AJ Pollock: Out of Baseball

La Stella: Out of Baseball

Wong: Hit .200 with a .694 OPS this ST and was just released

Mike Ford: Had a great Spring hitting .455/1.213 was just released anyway

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/03/ ... -ford.html

Geno Suarez: .229/.718 this Spring. Expected to be D Backs every day 3B

Jarred Kelenic: Disastrous Spring .135/.370 with one X base hit a triple Dat's a shame...

Teoscar Hernandez Killing it. .387/1.038 I won't miss that Hacker and his gross beard...

Jose Caballero .190/.602 Raley will be much better than him this season

Tom Murphy: .316/.900 Worst move of the off season was to let him walk over a few million instead and go with freaking Seby who has sucked with the bat as expected.

Cooper Hummel: has only 13 PAs with the Giants but is at .400/1.038

All in all no big losses at all other than maybe Campbell and Murphy a RP and a BU catcher and a lot of trash removal addition by subtraction.

Got Luis Urias for him in the trade with Boston. If Urias can perform like he did in 2021, I can reluctantly live with it, but I hated the trade when it happened, hate it now and will probably still hate the trade at the end of this season. Make me eat my words, Luis. Campbell is going to turn into a monster reliever.

Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!
