I think people use examples to highlight a point and sometimes, for the sake of brevity, you don't reference every single move that was made. I think his point here was that Jerry and Justin chose to make the moves they did, it was their choice not his to send out the players they did to better use those $$, and frankly, as we've all stated (go back and look at the Marco + JK + White trade thread), those moves were smart moves.

Geno is not a quality hitter. His glove was elite but ultimately 24 was going to be his last yr as an M anyways. I think it's obvious Hollander and Dipoto are preparing for adding Cole Young to this team by '25 and moving Polanco to 3b
