I wouldn't say Haniger is sucking right now. Technically he is new pickup. Garver and Polanco and Julio can go deep throat each other or something. They are 3 dead weights in this lineup.Southpaw773 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 9:50 pmThe wound has been cauterised for now.
The new offseason offense pickups still suck though. Just like last year.

The Mariners scoring 6 runs in a game is equivalent to the Yankees or Dodgers scoring 20+ runs. It might not happen again this season, so drink up.

Yea again not getting my hopes up yet. Gotta get a win once in a blue moon. Heading into a tough series against good hitting and pitching cubs gonna be tough. Have a much better 10 game spand then will see.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 9:53 pmThe Mariners scoring 6 runs in a game is equivalent to the Yankees or Dodgers scoring 20+ runs. He doesn't need too our dumbest franchise paid him already. He has no reason to try now and it shows. Just keep throwing sliders in the dirt guarantee he will swing. All sliders and breaking pitches rest of the way to Julio u will get him out!Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 9:55 pmI will say though... 15 K's... gotta stop.

+8 in runs since I shaved. Small sliver of hope.

I haven’t seen Garver as much as Polonco. Julio is fine. He’s missing, but he’s not lost like Polonco is
The poster formerly known as Kingfelixk. With a new forum comes a new boardname. Julio is my guy, plus we share a birthday, so that's Culiooooo

So, since the Mariners probably won’t make the play offs and Julio striking out at an alarming rate, will he be on the block to “cut” payroll for 2025, since he’s on a pace for 180 to 200 K’s?
Re: Gilbert to stop the bleeding G.T. 4-10-24
Julio strikes out a ton. This year last year and rookie year. I have a feeling he is gonna set a strikeout record. Just seems every out now of his is a strikeout. He has gotta start laying off the bad pitches. Cantzone is learning a bit. Swinging more at strikes. If he can get better then Julio should have no issue but this needs to end.OLdvanDawg wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 10:59 pmSo, since the Mariners probably won’t make the play offs and Julio striking out at an alarming rate, will he be on the block to “cut” payroll for 2025, since he’s on a pace for 180 to 200 K’s?

His K-Rates for 2022, 2023, and the 2024 season so far:seth8734 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 11:19 pmJulio strikes out a ton. This year last year and rookie year. 2022: 25.9%
2023: 24.5%
2024: 32.7%
Obviously 2024 is very small sample size. All the same, I wouldn't be surprised, at the end of the season, to see that it had ticked up slightly. But he isn't going to hit like shit for the whole season. He's the same guy. Maybe the league has adjusted to him a little bit, figured out a few things. But he'll adjust back at some point.
But I do suspect this season might be a relative struggle for Julio, and maybe that will be a good thing in the long run, force him to take a serious look at how he can get better.
