Dude:

If our life wasn’t in flux you could stay with us when it comes time to home hunt. I know you are family with Arrowhead but I would also recommend Verrado and Westbrook Village in the west end of the valley. Grand isn’t bad either. Good luck my brother

After reading those emails from "Eric," he sounds like a slippery and duplicitous wanker boy. And if there is that much micro-discussion and backroom intrigue about hiring a pro instead of a rookie, I'm thinking you dodged a bullet with that company. Plus, San Diego, meh, my gay bro lives there, bunch of old fags down there lol. And now, maybe tons of illegals, endless lib bullshit, piss on it bro!

Go golf in Arizona, do consulting and hired gun work. I think you and Lynda will dig it. All my friends from MI who have moved there love it.

Glad you are heading west, but sorry the job didn't pan out. They pulled that cheesy "overqualified" shit on Julie at Microsoft more than once after being a full-time employee for many years and then going into contract work for them.

"Julie, you were overqualified for this role; we are looking for someone more in the weeds. We will keep you in mind if a more suitable role becomes available."

Fuck 'em! Enjoy Arizona!
I agree, picking the more "junior" candidate over the higher qualified candidate sounds a whole lot like ageism to me.

Arizona sounds awesome anyways, California's a mess. Contlgratulations Darren, does this mean retirement?
Sounds like a whole lot of “don’t want to payism” to me. You don’t want to work for a company run by bean counters.

Thanks for the updates Darren, and sorry to hear of your mom's condition. Currently dealing with that for my MIL as well.

Next time you are back up here visiting your Mom, let's grab dinner.
