I said take a hammer and smash your finger with it as hard as you can and then go on a 2 mile run and then report back here about how it went. lol VIOLENCE!

Jarret DeHart is the hitting coach, Brown is the bench coach offensive coordinator
The Rangers hitting coach is Tim Hyers. Played first base in the majors. In four seasons and 133 games, 2 home runs, 19 rbis, hit .244, /.295, /.268, but I guess he's a good hitting coach. He's been at it for some time for a number of different teams

To walk away with that win was the biggest game of the year to me. It gives this team a boost.

Exactly why I chose that!Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 10:23 amI read that child birth was the second worst pain imaginable, so I'm wondering, what's the worst? DeHart has been their for 5 seasons when most teams go through hitting coaches like paper towels. Either he has Scotus level lifetime tenure or has pics of Jerry on a date with a farm animal...Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 10:37 amJarret DeHart is the hitting coach, Brown is the bench coach offensive coordinator

Would he really?Big_Maple wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 10:09 pmThe Marlins are miles out of first place, and they aren't going to compete this season. Ever frugal, the Fish may be looking to shed salary and rebuild (or continue their rebuild).
Luis Arraez has another year of arbitration left. He would be a helluva an upgrade over France at 1B. His trade value isn't outrageous - might cost us Hancock and a prospect or two. But he's hitting .300 right now which is something like the summative value of the batting averages of every guy we signed last offseason.
Yeah, I'm a big Arraez fan. I am just keeping in eye on the trade deadline that 3 months away!
Re: Rock on the bump Game Thread
Yes, he really would. Arraez beats France in virtually every category after the first 25 or so games of the season. The ones he didn't beat him in are so close that they are not statistically significant OR can be explained by where he bats in the order (fewer RBIs as a leadoff guy versus 5th or 6th).
Arraez is the only player in modern history to win batting titles in both the AL and NL, and the first to do it in consecutive years. He is 2 years younger than France, and makes a long term contract more viable.
And look at his overall stats - not just 25 games worth:
In which of these categories would you take France over Arraez? Strikeouts?
Can you iamgine him and JP at the top of the order?!!!!
