Good Lord. Jerry is not stupid and has to recognize that he has to change our hitting dynamic simply because it is awful. The problem with waiting until the trade deadline is that a lot of teams enter the mix. Time to make a move as we have the resources to do so.

A's starter Wood just sucks. So we all know what is going to happen right?

The guy they faced last night had an ERA of 6.04 in AAA. I mean think about this for a second... the M's, in 80* weather, scored 1 run off a solo shot, against a guy with a 6.04 ERA in the minors.
In half his starts in the minors this season he failed to go more than 4 innings and gave up 5 earned runs.
The M's could have replaced last night's lineup with Tacoma and they'd likely have clowned the guy.
