I agree but can be a bit of a measuring stick if we split 3-4 or 4-3 show we belong IMO. 1-6 means Jerry better work the phones quickly

We all know the umps in New York are going to squeeze the life out of our starting pitching so i think winning one of those four games is all we can hope for. Baltimore is just a better team so 1-2 there seems likely. So 2-5 is about what we should expect even if the Ms play to their abilities.

Exactly, coach. Why shouldn't we see some series against better, more successful and highly ranked opponents as better tests of whether we belong in the deep end of the pool?

Yeah, the season is 162 games, and this is just 7 of those games. But if we can hold our own against 2 of the better teams in baseball right now, I see that as a good sign. If not - as coach says, we're a ways away from the trade deadline. Jerry, do your thing.
