Kirby needs to get thru the first and get on track. Boys need to take care of business against Oakland as they did against the Angels.

Michael Kelly member of A’s BP suspended for 1 yr as part of betting on sports. He was doing well.

Fascinating in todays world where Pete was hung out to dry that you get kids who throw caution to the wind

Kelly is 31 so not really a kid. Ten bets totaling $99? It doesn't sound like a gambling addiction. You do have to wonder what these guys are thinking. It's also interesting how MLB has all this information. Get the feeling they've got it dialed in, if a bet goes down they're hearing about it

I have an addictive personality but I just can't imagine getting so much joy and excitement from betting on games that you can't control yourself knowing the consequences of getting caught.

Jesus Christ. $10 a bet for a guy making almost $1M a year.

Reminds me of a post on X yesterday about a guy that was complaining that a customer bought a baseball card from him but then wanted to reverse the transaction because he found the same card for cheaper elsewhere. Customer was threatening to write bad reviews and the guy wanted advice from his followers on what he should do. I was thinking wow this must have been a rare card costing hundreds of even thousands of dollars.

Come to find out the card was fucking $14. Imagine a non homeless grown man obsessing about $14 in 2024. That is barely lunch for 1 at a fast food restaurant these days. :?

Luis Urías outrighted off 40 man roster. Won’t see him back this year most likely. He couldn’t turn it down or would lose his money.

Jerry's big plan for 3B cleared waivers and is back in Tacoma. What a joke of an org.

Probably the end of the line for him. I thought the deal was fine though. It was a low cost trade with a potentially high reward and the Mariners could still flip him to another team.
