69GT~Will France be Wally Pipp'ed by a Learjet? It's a Lock!

Post by rockycola » Sun Jun 09, 2024 3:27 am

Sunday's 11:10 A.M. first pitch may feature Tyler Locklear in the starting lineup. Sure hope so. Throw him into the fire right away and see if he burns his feet or sets the world on fire.
Everybody should know the Lou Gehrig/Wally Pipp storyline. If not...............educate yourself.

I will try to post the lineup in the A.M. but I am working so feel free to put them on the thread. Mariners cannot get swept. Kirby must be on his A+ game. Lefty Cole Ragans needs to be made puny, ineffective and KC must underperform and just chill, knowing they won the series. It's what SS would do.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Pipp is the most famous baseball player that shares my birth date. From basketball its Michael Jordan and football Jim Brown.

Substitute "most accomplished" for "most famous" then.

That is a pretty good list

I will give it a go
Soccer Christiano Renaldo and Neymar
Baseball Hank Aaron
Football Navy's Roger Staubach
Basketball Terrance Ross only NBA player to score 50+ in a season he averaged <10
Royals Denmark's Queen Mary
R&B Bobby Browne
Actors several to chose from Michael Sheen
Comedian Tim Meadows
Writer William S. Burroughs

Maybe we should switch this to an independent OT?

Watch the Mariners sign him after he gets DFA'd.

Word is there's been a player mutiny and Scott was bound and gagged and left inside a bathroom stall somewhere in Kauffman stadium.
