OT Earthquake!

Just had a Welcome to California Earthquake. 5.1

Epicenter only about 10 miles away halfway between here and Malibu....Can't make it up...

Do the locals there just carry on nonchalantly with their day, Darren? Or is there a certain Richter figure that rattles them all - like 4.0 and above for instance?

Yep, business as usual. There are actually more people in the office than on a typical day. A few humorous mentions of it and that's it. lol

The Richter scale isn't linear, so an earthquake of that size (the one this morning) isn't a big deal even when you are right there. Start getting up into the 6s and you are talking having trouble keeping your feet. People notice that.

Just so you know, California gets a "shaker" every time a conservative moves to the state. It was passed into law back in 2004.
