Off Season Givens

Post by AZOldDawg » Fri Sep 13, 2024 4:25 pm

Stanton will not spend a penny more than he has to. “Nothing personal. Just business “

Jerry the “Spin Doctor “ will again try and pull a rabbit out of a hat trading for continued mediocrity

Our minor league farm teams will remain strong

Our core players will be looking to get out of Dodge asap

The past season will be spun as an anomaly rather than horrible roster construction

They expect this of an intern...
Execute with Purpose: Takes action and demonstrates accountability, leading with a sense of urgency and dedication to achieving results. Sets and meets challenging expectations for themselves and others,
... but not from their players or manager. Totally fucked up organization.

Tell me you actually don't give a shit with out telling me you actually don't give a shit.
The Mariners are committed to providing a competitive total rewards package for our valued Team Members.
The anticipated compensation for this role is $20.00 per hour. We also provide complimentary parking and paid public transportation.
Valued position, but unless you have nine roommates and live in a two-bedroom apartment? You can't afford to live in Seattle.

Does the paid transportation include a greyhound bus to their apartment Skykomish WA?

$51,837
The median household income in Skykomish, WA in 2022 was $51,837, which was 76.1% less than the median annual income of $91,306 across the entire state of Washington.
$61,000
According to 2 sources
In 2022, Easton, WA had a population of 328 people with a median age of 53.7 and a median household income of $61,000. Between 2021 and 2022 the population of Easton, WA declined from 382 to 328, a −14.1% decrease and its median household income declined from $93,281 to $61,000, a −34.6% decrease.
Never mind. LOL

Still, $20 an hour over an entire year is only $41,600. And that job was only during season, right? That's messed up. We care about winning and believe in the analytics...but the people that work in analytics need to live in Skykomish and eat cat food. Genius.
