9/23/24 Asstros officially put us out of our misery game thread

What a debacle today. The game was in the bag and we handed the Rangers a freebie that they did absolutely nothing to earn. How many of these crushing losses have we had this year, as opposed to other teams blowing sure victories to us? It's got to be a hell of an imbalance against us this season. Even though the team is hitting better, it just comes down to this: the Seattle Mariners are a losing organization that does whatever it takes to lose.
Which brings us to the Asstros, an organization that just wants it more. Hell, I wouldn't mind if we cheated for a season. Put everyone on PEDs and then turn in clean samples, whatever.
On the bright side, if we sweep this series before losing, I go to 13-7 for my second game thread victory in three years. Someone else will get the money due to the missed game thread handicap though. Glad it's only 50 bucks.
Given that, let's knock these bums down and fart on their heads.

When you consider that Houston has had 4 of their 2023 rotation on the injured list all year, their record is impressive.
Count the Ms fortunate, in a time when starters are dropping like flies, their guys have been healthy all year.
Otherwise, they’d be well under .500.

Gonna be a fight this series. No Alvarez tonight which is huge but still a solid lineup. Gotta get this win tonight.

Runner on first with nobody out, why would you try to hit a ground ball in the 1-6 hole. France did that a lot too. Guys with Julio's speed should never hit into more than 5 DPs in a season. Shocking that's only his 10th, it feels like a lot more.

Instead of absurdly having a goal of 54% they have a goal of 60+%. So when they have an absurd level of debilitating injuries and fall short of 60% they still win the division. When we have bad luck or injuries we miss the playoffs. Yet we are supposed to thank Jerry for this weak ass pathetic nonsense.
