These people must have literally no lives. Getting furious because Cal wasn't ranked higher than fourth for Catchers on some arbitrary list on Jan. 9th

Just bizarre
He needs to hit better.

I said it last year all year.

Cal is a gold glove winning catcher that also leads ML catchers in home runs. He doesn't need to hit better, be nice if he did but he doesn't need to

If Cal had a popup season where he hit .260 or something like that, that would probably take his home run total up around 45-50 and make him an MVP candidate. He might even win it.

Then we could trade him in the offseason. :)

In the context of wanting to be considered the best player at his position? Yes, he does.

Why did you say it all last year? I thought it was because
you felt he had some kind of obligation to carry the team offensively. He's a gold glove winner at the most important defensive position on the team. The offense they get from him, the home runs is gravy,. He doesn't have to hit better

Does he really? He tied with Contreras for the MLB lead in fWAR for catchers both at 5.4

fWAR over the last 3 years
1. Raleigh 13.9
2. Rutschman 13.3
3. Contreras 13.2
4. Murphy 11.0
5. Smith 10.9

Why is everyone so wrapped up in HRs? I'd rather Cal hit .250, got on base at .360, drove in 110 runs with a slug of .500+, than that he hit .220 with 31 bombs.

hit .250. Add more doubles for all I care. But get on base and drive in runs.
