Pick #33!

That is huge! They are also tradeable so that is another huge asset they have. Mlb trade calc usually values them around 6-7M.

That 33 is the percent chance the player has of even making it to the show. It's not like football.

Thai Pete a first rounder from last year is valued around 7M on trade calc. The other 2 that were taken in the 20-30 range were:
Farmello who is at 22 M
&
Colt Emerson who is up in the 40's

That pick is tradeable, and so it is one more high value asset that you could trade for upgrades. If I was a rebuilding club and was looking to trade off vets for prospects I would definitely trade for compensation round picks. If I have confidence in my scouting evaluations, it makes for a prime option. For one, if you are flipping to the rebuild script you should be "tanking' to get that prime position for a couple of years to pick that year's Junior, ARod, Skenes, Harper, etc.

That is a big asset to be able to offer.
