About Bregman and Boras

If there was ever as good an example of a guy's slavish self-defeating obedience to his vulture agent, don't know what it could be.
Here's a player on a perennial World Series contender, turning down "only" $156 mil cause his agent wants $200?
Here the team's loyalty means nada. Cause #BorasMatters.
A champion whore.
WTF?

Re: About Bregman and Boras
It's especially annoying when his client's coming off a season where he hit about equal to Cal Raleigh or Julio Rodriguez did last year.
Re: About Bregman and Boras
It is at the point with these guys that it is 1% about the money and 99% ego.

Re: About Bregman and Boras
Like I say, the players have surrendered their careers to the greediest of agents.
I felt similarly when Cory Seager left the Dodgers, for the Rangers, of course they won the World Series, but that was a long shot at the time.
If he returns to Houston, and I were a fan, I’d I have no love for the guy.

Re: About Bregman and Boras
I think Bregman would be a disaster in T-Mobile. Playing half his games here would crush him.
Re: About Bregman and Boras
I hope he falls flat on his face. MLBTR says he's worth about 7/182 mil. The Astro's offered 6 /156 mil. He wants 200 mil. His career is on the down side. Stay with Scott B and get 5 mil this year . If anybody signs you.Hy Feiber wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 9:38 pmhttps://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/01/ ... stros.html

Were I an Astros fan, I’d boo the hell out of him whether he stayed in town or not, and returned for a series.
Re: About Bregman and Boras
Scott Boras and his clients likely understand the risks going into the free agent market. A Boras contract with his clients could be revealing.
Boras has an established record of success, including this offseason when Boras had negotiated $1.45 billion worth of contracts as of January 7:

Calling Boras a failure is like calling Aaron Judge a failure after Judge struck out five times in September 28 game:
