They didn't run enough, it was the same thing as last season, packers selling out to stop the pass, challenging them to run and the hawks wouldn't do it

You would think it would have occured to Carroll (if not Waldron) during the game that they should be running it more.

Remember after the Colts win in game one I said he has an appealing everyman look. Kind of dopey and has a belly as opposed to most of the young slick very fit whiz kids in the NFL? Famous last words.....

Just like last season when teams just tried to stop the deep ball and we just kept throwing it. Its like the coaching staff is placing HUGE bets on our opponents. Has PC been compromised by the Mafia or what?? Says he wants to run more and then runs it 11 times with zero carries for their big healthy first round pick. If fucking Twilight zone.

Waldron seems to be everything we feared he would be. Nothing has changed from last year (as far as i can tell).

So does PC now have no influence on the run pass mix???????
Alex Collins rushed for 41 yards on 10 carries, all in the first three quarters, which Carroll felt showed the running game could have made more of an impact had Seattle stuck with it.

“Alex was (averaging) four-something (4.1 yards per carry),” Carroll said. “We need to play on that and run with that.”

One factor is that the Seahawks were just 1-5 on third downs in the first half and 2-5 in the third quarter.

“There’s not enough chances,” Carroll said. “We came out running the ball and hit an 11, then a six. We got some movement and some space, but then we didn’t convert and then we’re off of the field.”

An effective running game, Carroll said, would have taken some pressure off the passing game, which struggled in Wilson’s first game back after missing three games because of a right middle finger injury.

“We need to help them more and make sure they’re complemented with their play,” Carroll said.

Someone in this forum, I can't remember who, used to use one sentence in reference to anything that went on with this team. Wasn't it "take it up with Pete."

I am sorry, if you have watched Jeremy Bates, Darrell Bevel, Brian Schottenheimer and Shane Waldron...and for any minute think they are anything but an extension of PC? You are nucking futs.

And if you realize what the common denominator is? You will hit on the reason why nothing has changed.
