Season Over - Here are the Hawks picks, how would u draft?

So what are our needs?

Offensive Tackle L/R - it's clear Duane Brown is over the hill and Shell isn't long for being a Seahawk. To me these two positions are the most pressing for the Hawks to address. Maybe Brown can sign on for a less contract and move to the right side, but his days as a blind-side blocker should be over.

Corner - DJ Reed is an underrated corner. That means he might get some serious money elsewhere and the Hawks will be in need at the postion. Sidney Jones is also a UFA in 2022 and his play late in the season may propel him into a contract. Tre Brown is set to play right corner when he returns from injury, but the Hawks will likely need a left corner and some depth.

Free Safety - Diggs just dislocated his ankle and needs surgery for it to be repaired. As we know, Earl Thomas was never the same after his instances of broken legs. The Hawks can free up some money by drafting his replacement.

Center - Pocic is a mediocre center. They can bring him back on the cheap or upgrade the line by getting his replacement in the draft. I think it's time to move on and get someone else.

Tight End - the position underwhelmed the whole season. Dissly isn't anything special. Parkinson showed some flashes late but is far from proven. Gerald Everett can never seem to get out of his own way and is a free agent.


The Draft:

I believe the Hawks will have the 10th or 11th pick starting in the 2nd round of the draft. Their win today didn't really hurt their draft spot all that much.

Lets say we have the 10th overall draft slot:

Round 2 (42)
Round 3 (74)
Round 4 (109)
Round 4 (115)
Round 5 (154)
Round 7 (238)

I would trade our 2nd round pick back to acquire more picks. Lets say we trade R2 pick 42 to Denver for R2 pick 57 (this assumes the Rams, who they got the pick from, finish middle of the pack in the playoffs) and R3 pick 75. Gives us a much better chance to draft a solid tackle and shore up other big areas of need.

Here's an example draft:

Round 2 (57) - Bernhard Rieman OT - Central Michigan - plus athlete with huge upside from Austria. Stellar tape against P5 opponents. Has excellent footwork and will only improve with time as he recently transitioned from tight end to tackle.

Round 3 (74) Verone McKinley FS - Oregon - led the nation in interceptions at the position. Is slight of frame but not afraid to make a big hit. Seems like a perfect match given the Hawks needs.

Round 3 (75) - Rasheed Walker OT - Penn State - your experienced, solid tackle prospect. No elite traits, but brings a workman mentality alongside polished technique that should fit well on the right side.

Round 4 (109) - Josh Jobe CB - Alabama - big, physical press corner with an enforcer attitude. Hawks need to get back to a more physical mode of play w. their corners and Jobe fits this role.

Round 4 (115) - Sam Laporta TE - Iowa - converted WR who has some serious athleticism as a pass catcher. Hawks need a pass-catching wideout in the worst of ways. George Kittle went to Iowa, lets not miss out on the next underrated Hawkeye tight end.

Round 5 (154) - Alec Lindstrom C - Boston College - Unrelenting competitor who gives his all on every play. Would be a 1st rounder with more size.

Round 7 (238) - Taiwan Mullen SCB - Indiana - Undersized but one of the most competitive players in the land. Hawks need to draft a slot corner for depth as Ugo is a F/A following 2022.
