If Russ and Payton lost every game I wouldn't feel bad. I'm not worried about this contest, but I get annoyed every time Denver wins.

I am on the other side of the ball on this one.

Russ looked like a lock for the HOF up until he got traded to Denver. But now Peyton is looking like he is mimicking PC's early conservative run 1st, stay on schedule, turnover minimization style of play calling. Near the end of the game I remember seeing Russ's stats 21-25 180? yards 2 TD 0 INT game and I thought vintage Russ. And Denver has won 3 in a row beating both a notable Bills team on the road and the Chiefs who are one of favorites to win it all. Even a couple of more years of Russ being a winner and some post-season success would validate a HOF bid.

I didn't like Payton after BountyGate, and really hated him after he came into Denver and trashed the coach that was there before him. Russ forced his way out of Seattle, so just have a hard time rooting for him. Everything his bitched about was garbage. As irritated as Pete makes me? Pete made Russ, and we are all seeing that now that he left and has basically tarnished the reputation of two coaches since he got to Denver. If Mahomes hadn't been sick and the Bills weren't stupid? Denver would be 2 and 7 right now.

I just Googled "famous people named Payton" to see if I could bump him down, and I don't recognize any of them - just a bunch of tiktokers and whatnot. I did find an astronaut that is also named Gary Payton, so maybe we can bump him up there.
