Seahawks Sign a White Guy!!!
Pircher. Schneider must have been directed to do so by the Hawks DEI office. Yuck yuck...

I'm sure he'll be a worthy successor to other OL white guy signings like Luke Joeckel and Austin Blythe.

Oh, that's too bad. I thought he could have beat out Geno for starting QB.

Against the McCarthy-led Packers. Awesome play.
Quick history lesson: Ryan was the Packers punter from 2006 to 2008, until coach Mike McCarthy cut him.

The place sure erupted after that. Am I the only one that feels it's not that loud anymore? Doesn't seem to be on TV anyway. It's been a long time since I was at a game, so I could be way off.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 1:08 pmOh, that's too bad. I thought he could have beat out Geno for starting QB.

I went to dozens of games from 2012-2015 and it was so loud my ears literally stopped functioning normally. Now it is closer to a Mariners game with the "12s" there for the event instead of the football game.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:36 pmThe place sure erupted after that. It's an ebb and flow as team popularity and second-hand ticket prices go up, crown noise goes down. The kind of crazed maniacs who make a lot of noise for a football game aren't normally also people willing/able to shell out $450 for a standing-room ticket.
After some good seasons, being a "12" becomes a trend, where secretaries are celebrating Blue Friday, and the fan base temporarily adds a lot more sane/normal/Not-obsessed-with-sports people. Those people aren't going hoarse trying to draw false starts on 2nd down.
This is related to my advice about going to away games: If you want to see the Seahawks play in another city, while wearing any Seahawks gear, pony up for expensive seats unless you want to get harassed all game. If you enjoy trading insults with degenerates all game, sit in the cheap seats. I've done both (but mostly cheap seats).
Fewer cheap seats = fewer "degenerates"
That said, for home games, cheap seats are always more fun. Better, louder, crazier fans.
