Sam deserves his own Thread

Post by D-train » Sat May 04, 2024 8:31 pm

I am buying his jersey and am committed to being his #1 fan.

This guy says only Caleb Williams is better in the 2024 draft.

Was going to ask, what's he think about the X controversy. It's got to be a pain in the ass for him.

I'm skeptical that he's worth a shit. I fear he legitimately was hired to be the backup.
But if I see he's the type that loves to take off running, I'll be right there on the "start Howell" bandwagon.

They didn't give up a 3rd round pick for a BU QB. He will be the starter in 2025 at the latest....

Geno was hired to be backup, nobody believed he was anymore than that. It's the same thing, use the position to try and develop a QB. It's been noted that JS came from an organization that really focused on it. Geno was under the radar.

Yeah. I don't think anyone thinks we are going to the SB this season so isn't Sam best developed by playing THIS season?

They want to make the playoffs, that's the goal I believe. The Seahawks don't take off seasons. I had credited that to Pete but I find out Jody shares that attitude

Sure. I think they can make the playoffs with Sam. He had a horrid O line and not nearly as good of weapons as we did.

I think if they felt they had gotten a superior QB they'd use him. Let's see what happens. At this point Geno is the starting QB because I believe they feel he gives them the best chance to win. Once training camp begins that might change but I doubt it. And I don't believe it's going to be a competition like with RS and what's his face. Sam have to really show something in a more limited situation

I want to like Sam but his footwork is atrocious and will keep him from getting his passes in rhythm. What I love about the guy is that he keeps his eyes downfield and scans the coverage quickly. He also gets off some good pre-snap reads. But his mechanics are just awful.
