PFF Ratings of new players and who they are replacing

Post by D-train » Sun May 19, 2024 5:24 pm

I gave a "Wash" to any PFF rating within 5 points because as we discussed those are not meaningful to the issues with PFF ratings.

Ten Upgrades and Two Washes. ZERO Downgrades.

Left Guard Wash
Laken Tomlinson 55
Damien Lewis 59

Right Guard Advantage 2024
Christian Haynes Rookie 3rd round pick
Phil Haynes 52

Tight End Advantage 2024
Pharaoh Brown 73
Colby Parkinson 57

D Tackle Advantage 2024
Byron Murphy 1st round pick
Anthony Bradford 59

Middle Linebacker Advantage 2024
Tyrel Dodson 90
Bobby Wagner 82

OLB Advantage 2024
Jerome Baker 67
Jordyn Brooks 57

Strong Safety Advantage 2024
Rayshawn Jenkins 61
Jamal Adams 55

Free Safety Advantage 2024
K'Von Wallace
Quandre Diggs 55

HC Advantage 2024
Boy Wonder MM
Grandpa Pete

OC Advantage 2024

Only one that you could possibly make an argument for a downgrade is Lewis to Laken given their ages. Olu will be better in his second season than Brown was last season.

Also Nwosu should be an upgrade over Taylor or whoever replaced him last year.

Yep, great point. Will also have Leonard Williams the entire season.

Absolutely no doubt Murphy will be a HUGE upgrade over Anthony Bradford at DT - think he failed to post even a single tackle or pressure!

Wouldn't Murphy be supplanting either Dremont Jones (61.7) or Jarran Reed (63.5)?
