Apparently Geno got injured yesterday...
Smith had a defensive teammate run into him and knock him to the turf at the end of a play during 11-on-11 scrimmaging Tuesday. While he got up favoring his leg, he finished practice.
https://amp.thenewstribune.com/sports/n ... 76634.html"He’s working through a couple things from (Tuesday). Going to get some imaging (Thursday) night. And, we’ll see,” coach Mike Macdonald said Thursday after the eighth practice of camp, the second consecutive practice Smith missed.

Geno will guaranteed start on opening day. No fucking way he lets Howell have a chance.
He learned this from RW.

I'm not sure it's a good idea for the blockers to run 5-10 yards towards their endzone then wheel around to engage the opposing team's players. Why not engage them right away?

It does seem odd but that is how it has always has been done...Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 3:31 pmI'm not sure it's a good idea for the blockers to run 5-10 yards towards their endzone then wheel around to engage the opposing team's players. Why not engage them right away?

Re: Training Camp thread
Well, it's sort of good news and sort of not because it means they are afraid to go into the season with Olu at center and most of us had hoped he would be able to take the mantle and hold down the position at least through his rookie contract. Now it looks like they will sign Williams to a one year deal (and be back in the same situation in a year) or they will have to go with a riskier multi-year deal and hope he returns to close to 100% off the surgery. I'm also wondering if they'll need to restructure or cut someone to clear cap space.
