I don't know enough about Jones to totally understand this trade, but:

"Pro Football Focus has Baker and Jones ranked alongside each other among off-ball ‘backers this season, placing Baker 46th and Jones 47th. PFF rated Baker a superior coverage linebacker, though Jones was a top-15 overall option at LB in 2023."

Is Jones is more of a Macdonald-type guy, or what? I think they are both PFF ranked out at 62.5 or 62.7.

Baker was the guy that completely whiffed and fell on his face after trying to tackle Purdy on that 3rd down run and we all know Purdy is the 2nd coming of Derrick Henry- Bye.

Or kept Wagner?
Wagner is the ageless wonder that just keeps going. The 34-year-old hasn’t displayed many signs of regression despite playing on a subpar Washington defense. Wagner’s 84.9 overall grade is sixth among qualified linebackers. He’s the only linebacker to post an 80.0-plus grade in run defense, tackling and pass rush, with his 10 pressures tied for the sixth-most at his position.

Would that be the second play in this YouTube Purdy vs. Seahawks' clip?

LOL. Okay, Bye Jerome!

LOL, and after watching video of him blowing up the Seahawks and other teams when he was with the Rams, I'm all in. Our run D has been muy fugly for the most part. Great upgrade!

The team has designated offensive tackles Abraham Lucas and George Fant to return to practice on Wednesday.

Maybe I am a homer but I looked at PFF, and PFR and I didn't see anything terribly impressive. He is listed at 6'1", or 6'2" 230-233#? He has 4.5 sacks in 4 years. I looked at his AV and his highest mark was 6 in 2023, Compared to Bobby Wagner who's lowest was 9 and best was 17? ANd we give up a 4th for a guy who is in his walk year?

JS is definitely doubling down on this team. The division is wide open but they need to figure out how to beat the 49ers. Ia

PFF gave him an 82.1 last year.
