The reason it worked is because nobody, including Geno, thought he would do that.

Geno plays a lot better when he has to. Heck same was true for Russ as well.

Idk what the psychology is about all of a sudden making a ton of plays when the game is on the line vs turtling up and playing like you're scared shitless for 3 quarters.

I just wish Geno could tap into that more. If he would just trust his instincts to take off... make an athletic throw with his feet... he'd be so much better.

Jonathan Gannon seems like a good hire. 4-13 in his 1st season and now he has the Cardinals at 6-4 and in 1st place.

The offense did good. The Geno worshippers can light their candles, or whatever it is they do when they are happy. But this felt like a defensive victory. No one missed Dodson. Witherspoon lived up to his hype. The run was mostly throttled. Tackling was better. The defense did not suck.

Defense was good. Offense scored all 20 points with Bosa on the bench.

Still, the obligatory omg mishandled go chase it snap that kills drives worse than offensive holding or grounding lol.

What a half-shocker to win this one after sucking so bad not just against SF in general, but really against the entire NFL lately.

Geno after the game:

"They wrote me off, but I don't read so good."

There are no Geno worshippers (here at least) just people that realize he is better than Mr. Howl.

I think we are saying the same thing.
