And we won 10 games. And for that? With that O Line? The OC got canned.
Again, what game did we lose that you walked away and felt that was all on the offense? The Rams, and it that game we ran it over 30 times!

In terms of yards per play, 3rd down conversion %, and yards per drive the Seahawks were around league average and about the same this season as last season under Waldron.
The real issue is with how the coach utilized the pieces that he had. If you think Geno is not a good QB then you are going to be less critical of the job they did. We all agree that the offensive line was bad, but how much of an impact that had on the offense was partially determined by the playcalling. There is also the notion of offensive philosophy and that sticking with one through difficult times will eventually bear fruit.
If MM's offensive philosophy does not fit with the personnel executing it then eventually either he or the GM will get canned. Of course the OC should have some influence over the philosophy, but it is mainly his job to implement it in a way that optimizes the abilities of the players. If he won't stay within the parameters set by the head coach then he will get canned before someone higher up loses their job. That's how it works.

That's the problem. MM wanted a different offense, and out of this personnel. Very Pete like. Stomp his feet and scream that he has wants to play this way.
Not one time did I feel like we could line up and run anyone. But that's what Mike wants a cuz that's what Mike knows. Pete2.0. the only thing we can hope for is we get our stool push in doing that next year, and then maybe have the draft picks to build the team Mike wants....AND? Hope that John can build it. Since it will require an O Line? I have little faith that will happen.

OMG, Pete 2.0? All we can hope for is getting our stool pushed in? Seriously? We couldn't hope that MM actually knows what he doing? MM is another Pete and for you that's this terrible thing. We are talking about a guy that will probably go in the HOF, winningest coach in Seahawks history. So we follow that with a guy that could go in the HOF as well and this is a thing to be worried about, okay. Patriots fans are probably losing sleep worrying about getting stuck with another belichick, the horror

Things I am learning that are legal watching this game.
Pre snap motion
QB sneaks
Rollouts
Running in pass situations
Taking snaps under center
I apologize. I didn’t know they were allowed since I watched Seahawks football all year.

Pete was great , until he wasn’t. You don’t win with that style anymore. That’s my point. This offense won’t work the way I feel MM wants it to work. So? Getting whooped on next year would mean maybe we get the draft capital to build the team he wants, since he seems dead set on coaching in a style that doesn’t fit this roster.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 12:16 amOMG, Pete 2.0? Pete knew how to win one way, and then was not able to recreate that roster, and refused to adapt. That’s my point,

I don't see a relationship between MM and Pete Carroll, there's no connection, that's a strawman, quit with the PC boogie man stuff. There is however a strong connection between MM and both of the Harbough brothers. I've brought it up repeatedly, this is who we have. It's not a PC clone, it's a Harbough clone. Do the Harboughs know anything about running the football and winning football games? Go look at jim Harbough, it might make it clearer why MM wasn't happy with the offense,. You can be as unhappy as you want to be with MM but put the PC stuff to rest

"When you're hiring somebody, you look at the background. That means a lot," Schneider said. "You're talking about a great organization. You're talking about the Ravens and John Harbaugh, the Harbaughs, and then Jim and Michigan, I mean, fantastic."
More John than Jim but stop with the PC comparisons already"With the Ravens, the Harbaugh family, Jim, Coach Jack, Jackie, especially John and his wife Ingrid. Talk about taking a leap of faith in investing in a young buck like me back in the day and having the guts to give me opportunities over time and put his name on the line," Macdonald remarked. "His investment in me, John Harbs [Harbaugh], I really appreciate that, and obviously we've talked about it, but our relationship is very special to me, so thank you for your investment in my wife and I."
