Over reacted to players left and taken again, and continued to trade back. No wonder JS does it, it's kind of addicting...like gambling! This is a pretty unorthodox draft.

Maybe we can get rid of DK after all? Problem is, his stature makes him much more Tyler than DK.
Isaiah Bond
WR
Texas
Height: 5 - 11 |
Weight: 182 lbs |
RAS: N/A
Bond is one of the nation's top wide receivers with first-round potential. Despite modest stats since transferring to Alabama—510 yards and five touchdowns—film shows his production has been limited by quarterback play. Quinn Ewers has missed chances to capitalize on Bond’s elite separation skills. Bond’s game-breaking speed and elusiveness make him a dangerous playmaker when given opportunities.
Really don't like waiting this long for an O Lineman, but sounds like he might be a solution inside?
Hollin Pierce
OT
Rutgers
Height: 6 - 8 |
Weight: 342 lbs |
RAS: N/A
Hollin Pierce is a massive and powerful offensive lineman with the ability to dominate in the trenches. His size and strength make him a force in the run game, where he generates consistent push and effectively clears lanes for ball carriers. Pierce’s length and strong hands allow him to control defenders and maintain leverage in pass protection, while his awareness and footwork help him handle stunts and blitzes. While he can move laterally, he can be exposed at times by quick twitch defenders. There are some technique concerns that need to be refined at the next level, but the potential he offers will mean he should have plenty of suitors.
Edge from LSU seemed like a good value at that spot also.
Bradyn Swinson
EDGE
LSU
Height: 6 - 4 |
Weight: 250 lbs |
RAS: N/A
Bradyn Swinson has the tools to rise into Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The LSU pass rusher broke out in 2024, showcasing his explosive first step, strength, and bend off the edge. At 6’4”, 250 pounds, he converts speed to power effectively, using a refined skill set and strong hand placement to disrupt offenses. His athletic upside makes him a compelling prospect in the 2025 edge rusher class.
Decent draft to build off, but might not make us a ton better next year.

The more I look at this, I bet John trades out of the 1st and gets more 2nd and 3rds to use. I just don't see him drafting in that middle zone.

I can't help it....I can't remember the last time I did one of these and didn't trade back. It doesn't always work. I end up beefing up the defense, getting a potential QB of the future, but again....not much help on the O Line.

You're obsession with Edge guys is somewhat disturbing.

No doubt. It wasn’t a good draft. Again, I traded back way too much. And probably over reacted to the success the Rams had with their Rookie Edge. I’m not sure getting three stud defenders from Big Ten defenses is a bad thing though.

Probably not, but i think Edge guys are currently overvalued and that could lead to some good players at other positions dropping to 18, like Banks, Warren, or ...

Banks and Warren have been gone by the time I pick the last few simulators. Funny how the buzz changes things.

If John doesn't take an OL in the first two rounds i will be truly miffed. Two would be great :)
