DK takes a few shots. It wasn't Geno that made him want out.

That's what I read, he wanted an extension and he wanted it now
Breer is reporting that Metcalf wanted a contract extension immediately. The Seahawks typically conduct such business later in the summer, around training camp and the preseason. The Steelers awarded Metcalf with a five-year, $150 million extension upon his arrival
Yep, because Breer reported it, might as well not listen to what the player actually said. Maybe DK is lying, but maybe Breer just reported some shit he heard and not from a great source?
I wouldn't call it lying, Breer is a legitimate NFL reporter, they don't just report stuff they heard, that story wouldn't have been difficult to verify. And the fact is the Steelers had an extension ready for DK when he arrived in Pittsburgh. That would seem to indicate he wanted it now

Regarding DK.
I'm actually surprised he lasted as long as he did for the Seahawks.
If us fans kept thinking he was going to be the next Calvin Johnson, you know DK thought he was too.
At a certain point it's always going to be human nature for a player like that to want to try another
team to see if it's him or the team that didn't achieve the perceived potential.

DK may be in for a rude awakening in Pittsburgh. Tomlin seems to me to be a no-nonsense type of coach and won't put up with any shenanigans on or off the field the way Carroll and MM did/do.

Tomlin knows who he is, he seems to have wanted him pretty badly.

Oh, it's going to be tough times for DK in Pittsburg. Do they even have a QB?
Is 24yo George Pickens going to be as fun a teammate as Tyler Lockett and JSN?

Yes he does allow it. Johnson, Brown, and Pickens did diva bad stuff for years under his watch. He allowed it. After 2-3 years some were traded. But, he allows a lot of shit there. DK will thrive in it. The others did. And DK is a better person than those guys too.

So why did he demand a trade AFTER Grubb was fired.
What makes you think it was Grubb's call?

Seemed like that is who he was complaining about.

I tend to agree with that, but wasn't Grubb fired for not following the run first game plans that MM was wanting? Could it not be the same here.... MM's call on where he wanted the receivers.

There seems to be a disconnect somewhere between Grubb and MM that the players may not have knows about. Or, Grubb was buffering the HC's wishes from the players.
