Re: Grading the Draft
JS indicates they are planning to somehow utilize him during the season but as Huurd points out that would require them to carry three qbs active on game day which he doubts happens. In terms of using him, I guess it's speculation but I've read like 3rd and short and goal line plays.
Re: Grading the Draft
JS literally said that Darnold will be only getting 90% of snaps. Who do you think will get the rest. Won't be Lock unless Darnold gets injured.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 1:26 pmYeah, Rylie Mills is an interesting deal, I think I posted the article on the heated debate, table banging in the war room over drafting him. and JS trading up to do it. Lots of interesting stories to follow. Milroe should make things interesting. I don't mean QB controversies but how they use him. Looking forward to seeing him in the preseason. Be disappointing if he isn't given a role in the offense next season.

Re: Grading the Draft
Sure the inference being Milroe gets them. I'm a little jaded terms of summer dream possibilities. Huurd has a point, are they really going to have three QBs active for a game? Lock is going to be the backup QB. I could see the season starting and Milroe isn't active and as the season plays out the `milroe thing just fades away

Hey dt, found a MM quote I think you could identity with. Its in regards to being patient with developing Milroe
If that's not an our kind of guy I don't know who is. "We don't use patience a lot around here," he said. "There's always going to be an urgency in how we're developing our players, how we're training them. Jalen is going to be right there with everybody else."

Re: Grading the Draft
He's either the quarterback of the future or not. If he is, then let him sit and learn behind the vets. If he's just some guy for gadget plays here and there i'm not sure the 3rd round pick was well spent.

I think he did a fantastic job with addressing most of the team's current needs in this draft, and found good quality picks deep into the draft.
I think Milroe was a great 3rd pick. Consider that about 25% of every 3rd round pick in Seahawk history was average or better, Milroe has the tools to perhaps become the top Seahawk 3rd round pick ever. I loved the pick having a guy that would be considered a good RB prospect, a good WR prospect and a guy who can be under center and tooled up to provide some Lions-Chiefs level Go Go Gadget as a regular game play is fantastic! I believe he has the arm talent to develop into a Q1!
Rylie Mills is a 5th round steal and will find plenty of playing time in the DT rotation. He dropped because he is recovering from injury just like the way we lucked out with WR we took in the 5th rounder Tory Holton 6'3" WR who stock dipped because he is recovering from injury and ran in the 4.5s at the combine but would later post a 4.41 40 as he recovered from injury.
6th rounder Bryce Cabeldue could win a starting job at guard eventually]Loved it Guess he is a physically gifted guy who slipped I liked him and the 7th Round tackle [/b]
Damien Martinez was a pretty damn good find in the 7th round. Heck of a physical back. b]Loved it [/b]
Additionally, Emmanwori and Arroyo are both 2nd round gems. Loved it
Not much to dislike in this draft.
