This isn't the same video of Monken that i watched before, in fact i am not even sure it was Monken, it was a lecture by the Ravens OC. I don't believe it was Roman.

Go to the 2:00 mark, successful football is about creating a team identity, then focusing on being elite at the things that really matter. He commented in the other video, many teams do not practice that way, they generalize

to continue...I think the deal is there's more to being a run oriented team than the OC calling more running plays. You need to practice it and be really good at it, the minutia of it. All the details of running a play like that. Maybe it doesn't work but I think that's the idea and its not necessarily the way its done everywhere. That other Monken video was really interesting, Ive brought it up a couple of times. It was like, wax on, wax off. He spent all this time discussing hiking the ball, discussing cadence. It's like what the fuck, but he brought it around and made his point. He doesn't feel teams generally are very good at hiking the ball, they don't practice it that much. So you concentrate on it, become elite at it, become the best at it in the NFL. You can occasionally catch other teams with it, you have a qb that can go off schedule, that's a way to create explosive plays

I'm glad Holani is getting his shot. Dude is a gamer, same as Lock, who is now Mudbone Krieg-like in my book. Arroyo and TE's down the middle, a fullback, a line that is pushing people, we could have some fun this year with depth.
FWIW - on Brock and Salk today, Gee Scott said Drew Lock is the best QB on the team. You pretty much have to
hate Darnold to make a statement like that. I'm not sure if Gee has been going to training camp and came to that
conclusion, or he is just popping off based on previous Darnold on other teams.

pretty sure he left an impression with the depression he put on the bodies of the two guys he trucked after the catch rather than running out of bounds. nice blocking too. you want a face for the new emphasis on physicality, he's it.

I know right? I was hollaring at the TV - "Dude!, take it easy, save it for the season". I kept thinking, "why don't NFL
teams use a FB again? It was just a PS game, but using Ouzts looks like it will pay dividends.

Pete Carroll's face when the last second field goal was blocked LOL...

I mean, why did it matter so much to him?
Same reason I was thrilled with 16 to 3, and pissed that their scrubs were better than ours. I'm not even happy that he came here and tied. Maybe one day I'll root for him. Can't do it right now...which is weird because we fired him, he didn't leave.

encouraging opinion of Milroe
While he didn’t have eye-popping stats, Milroe didn’t show anything that causes me to be any less excited about his future. In fact, my favorite thing about his initial showing was that he ran Klint Kubiak’s offense. What I mean by that is that he wasn’t doing a bunch of gimmicky, gadget plays. Yes, Kubiak tailored the plays to fit Milroe’s strengths with some zone read plays and bootleg passes. However, he also had Milroe taking snaps under center and attacking the middle of the field. Milroe, for his part, seemed to focus on trying to execute the playcall instead of immediately flushing out of the pocket and relying on his legs. He can do that, make no mistake, as he showed on his scamper near his own goal line. We know Milroe can decimate the defense with his rushing ability, so if he can prove that he can play within the scheme of Kubiak’s offense that just makes him all the more dangerous. Milroe’s counter-punch then becomes a knockout blow.
McDonald and Kubiak BBF
“I feel like we’re on a pretty good cadence communication-wise,” Macdonald said. “It’s great to hear the communication over the headset. Everybody on the staff, everybody is contributing. Play calls in fast. Just all the things we saw in practice were there, and there is some stuff we’re going to go back and recalibrate and learn from and improve on. But solid first start. He’s always chasing the things, which is what you appreciate about him.”

I don't do fantasy football. I'm laser-focused on the Seahawks. But, I usually do have several teams I root for if they
aren't playing the Seahawks. Last year I would root for Russ and the Steelers, for example. I rooted against Russ and
Denver, for example.

I would root for Pete and the Raiders if Geno weren't their QB. I don't like Geno. If Geno goes down, I will root for Pete.

That's a weird comment by Scott before Darnold has even played one series for us. But the underthrown pick aside, I like the way Lock goes through his rotations in the pocket and flings it. And I am all in on Holani also. Chiefs will be a decent test next week with more starters. I'm encouraged!
