That was borderline throw a flag on every play defense!
Browner was just as bad, if not worse.
But, by "plays the game the way Sherm does". c'mon. There's no "boom" to Woolen.
Sherm, was one of the, if not the best, tackling CB's in NFL history. Browner would hit a guy HARD.
You see none of this by diva Woolen. Woolen has been benched by two different coaches for being soft in the
head and soft on the field.

LOL, understood. Reek is FAR from the overall Corner and Football player that Sherm was. Man, I miss those days. Sure was a lot of fun to watch them play defense back then. I think we are real close to something now, at least on defense. It’s hard for me to get on board with this O Line and Sam Darnold tho.
That said? Darnold was the best option, and I also agree with going after Milton. I just think the near future is gonna be pretty bumpy.

I was thinking, what if its Lock that outplays Darnold? He's the forgotten guy and so far I get the impression he's been doing it. Its a given its going to be DarnoldMichael K. wrote: ↑Sat Aug 09, 2025 4:42 pmLOL, understood. Reek is FAR from the overall Corner and Football player that Sherm was. Man, I miss those days. FWIW - on Brock and Salk today, Gee Scott said Drew Lock is the best QB on the team.

I didn't think Lock looked all that good. That was a bad pick. Small sample size in that game, but just another turnover by a guy that is prone to turnovers. Not that Darnold isn't.
I think the future is Milroe, and it's a year or two away. He plays the way they want. MM would be happy with a guy going 13 for 20 and we are tearing it up in the ground. Hell, so would I. But I think they are a few pieces up front away from being able to do that.

For me, Lock looked like he has been putting in the work and can run the new offense, but he's still Lock. He's not the answer and we all know that.Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 3:04 pmI didn't think Lock looked all that good. That was a bad pick. I don't like Gee Scott as a person, but I fear he's been attending Seahawks practice and is not impressed with Darnold.
If Darnold busts, that would be bad. And I'm not even saying he has to be great, just as good or slightly better than Geno, without the childish behavior.
My greatest hope is also Milroe. But no one, who should know these things, is even pretending he's ready. I was wishing for him to be the next RW and take over the job like Russ did. It's a fairy tale and I need to get over it and pray for Darnold.

Re: Reek
I was referring more to what I thought i had heard about Lock having a good off season. I've brought up before, JS rolling the dice on his offseason moves, particularly Darnold. So how does he hedge his bet, Lock isn't necessarily only the backup qb, he could be the backup plan. I don't know what's going on in training camp but I thought there was some intrigue with the OTAs
probably what Scott was referring to and its probably ancient history at this point

https://12thmanrising.com/not-training- ... wded-dramaPotential issues popped up in OTAs and minicamp, though. No quarterback on Seattle's roster has had Klint Kubiak as their offensive coordinator before, as the QBs and the OC are all new to the Seahawks in 2025. Darnold might have a slight advantage of having Kubiak as his quarterbacks coach during his one season with the San Francisco 49ers (2023).
Darnold did not cement that advantage in offseason practices, however. In OTAs, he was holding on to the ball far too long, a tendency that has plagued him in his professional career, and turning the ball over. He didn't seem to have a full grasp of the playbook.
Meanwhile, Lock was sharp and in control. If someone watching practice did not know who Darnold was or who Lock was, the person might have assumed that Lock was going to be the starter.

Re: Reek
Very well said. Brock said today that Kubiak likes to move the QB around. Waggle and spring outs, even some option. They mentioned that Darnold has lost some weight to be more prepared for that. I found that interesting, and it got me thinking about Darnold at USC. I remember him being decently mobile, elusive more than a runner, but still. It's a way to take some of the heat off of a line that probably won't be great, hopefully not bad, but I don't thing great at all. Middle of the road thought is better than what we have had. Sam could be struggling to get his feet back under him from losing weight and learning the new offense.trharder wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 1:38 pmFor me, Lock looked like he has been putting in the work and can run the new offense, but he's still Lock. I agree that neither Darnold nor Lock are the future, but we had to have a QB for this season, and neither one of those guys cripples the cap, or limit our options down the road. Let Milroe run a package or two here or there this year, grow as a pro, and then maybe he is ready? If the defense is as good as advertised? They might be a playoff team even with Darnold at QB. Again, I liked the QB strategy....felt like it was time for Smith to go, and Lock and Darnold give us that veteran placeholder. If Milroe isn't the man? Then so be it, but at least this way we get to find out.
