Were they seriously considering using him as a punt returner this year?
It depends on how much emphasis you place on the word "seriously".
The main thing you want from a punt returner is don't fumble.
I was watching the game when Bobo got hurt, but I couldn't remember what happened. He was signaling fair catch.
Bobo did nothing wrong. It just happened that way.

Trade! The #Seahawks are sending OT Michael Jerrell to the #Falcons for a conditional 2027 seventh-round pick, per source.

Damn, we seemed a little lacking in depth as it was. Also cut MVS today.

The only one that surprises me a little is Damien Martinez.

Packers cut Isaiah Simmons, former 1st round LB/S. wouldnt mind picking him up to replace O' Connell who just got cut - definitely can use some depth there expecially with Knight dinged up.
And another veteran Guard candidate - Kenyon Green, the guy Philly traded CJ Gardner Johnson for last year, just cut.

1150 players just got cut. Imagine having to sort through all those names to see if one might help us.

I'm sure they have teams of staff doing it, anticipating most of the cuts well ahead of time, with a pre-selected wish list of prospects (and vets)they were hoping to see exposed. then it becomes a race to get to them, much like UDFA right after the draft. at least that's what i envision.
