here, it was what they intended to do, pretty straight forward. I can see it actually, if he is thrown into the 49ers game because of an injury to Darnold the most important thing probably wouldn't be running some particular play as much as just getting the plays in and out successfully, the ultimate game manager. In that sense, i could see this as evidence they intend to have him active
They want to see him improve his biggest issue from the first two preseason games he’s played the second halves of: managing the game. Milroe needs to improve getting the offense in and out of the huddle between plays, making the play calls and reading the defense pre-snap. Macdonald has said those are the issues coaches are working on with Milroe.

Quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko is going to call Milroe’s plays Saturday. Kubiak will step back to evaluate.

The coaches want to see Milroe start an NFL game, make the adjustments on the sideline with Janocko and Kubiak after the first drive based on what the Packers defense is showing, then employ those changes in successive drives. The Seahawks want to see Milroe throwing off a drop back inside a pocket, and running a 2-minute drill in a game instead of practices. They want to see how he comes out of halftime employing more adjustments.

this is kinda funny, hadn't seen this, this from when they drafted him, Milroe told reporters the seahawks had told him he was the highest rated qb on their board. Here is JS responding to that when asked by a reporter...ohhhhh no, but it was damn close! lol

I imagine that Kubiak was involved in game planning. They plays they called didn't help Milroe in one single way shape or form. It was an offense designed more for Marino that Milroe. I'm not buying that all they needed to evaluate from a rookie QB that had played like three quarters of NFL football up to that time was if he could get his team in and out of a fucking huddle.

You believe everything that anyone says. If that is what the guy looks like, and they feel all they need to see is his presence in the Huddle? Than those guys don't know shit about playing QB in the NFL. Since I don't think that is the case? I'm going to say they are saying what guys like Donn Beach want to hear. "We just need to see him in a huddle". Bullshit.

I believe it because its true, they evaluate at practice and scrimmages, at best exhibition games are useful to evaluate some backend guys. If they were so important for evaluation why did they drop one.

What the fuck? How does that explain why you think Milroe played four quarters of a football game so his coaches could watch how he runs a huddle? You’re a fucking trip man….ir you are always on one!

why do I think it? Ohhhhh...because that is what MM told Bell they intended to do and then they went out and did it, where's the fuck is the hard part in that? Your argument now is someone isn't telling the truth, and I'm the trip lol. I love it when someone's argument devolves down to not believing the actual evidence. It's a stinking preseason game, its meaningless! He's out there with 3rd and 4th stringers, with a qb coach calling the plays, there was no reason to put in anymore offense than they did. He wasn't competing for a job, there wasn't anything they needed to evaluate, they already know how they are going to use him, what they intend to do with him. You are pissed off because the game wasn't entertaining enough for you. But they don't give a shit! :D

As I said, you believe it because they said it. It was coach speak Donn. They aren't telling us shit. I'm not pissed off because the game wasn't entertaining, I don't give a fuck, I turned it off. I care that it appears as though they have kid gloves on the guy. Believe what you want, but the day I believe that some head coach is revealing everything there is to know? I'll be done watching sports because I will have dementia.

First off, this makes zero fucking sense, and as I already asked, how the fuck does that explain why they needed the 3 round draft pick QB to play four quarters of football to see if he could get the team in and out of a huddle?

It wasn't about evaluating his ability at it, its about practicing it. It's not coach speak, its a pretty clear plan for what they intended to do in the game. Again, if they are going to be using him as a possible substitute qb in the 49ers game it might make sense that he feels as comfortable as possible managing a game for at least a few plays. I can see it as ramping up to having him active for the 49ers game
