Two trades I'd make before the deadline.

Seahawks trade 2027 5th round pick, WR Jake Bobo to the Raiders for WR Jacobi Meyers

Why? The Hawks offense is really missing a second pass-catching option opposite JSN. Meyers isn't connecting with Geno and is in the final year of his deal. Previously, he's hung some 1,000 yard seasons. Kupp just hasn't been the second option most had hoped.

Seahawks trade 2026 4th round pick to the Browns for OG Joel Bitonio, cash considerations

Why? It's pretty obvious. Anthony Bradford is one of the worst players in football. Bitonio is 34, a free agent in 2026, and sports a 76.3 PFF grade. He has allowed 0 sacks this year.

I'm not sure its personnel as much as its Darnold and the plays being focused on JSN. Bringing in another receiver doesn't mean he's seeing the ball anymore than Krupp. Do we miss DK? I've been wondering that.

Doesn't seem like it hurt to add another deep threat. This guy is suggesting Rashid Shaheed from the Saints, that's it Horton that needs the help, he did take MVS's job. And kubiak is familiar with him
. "The Seahawks have rookie Tory Horton flashing as a big-play threat, but they could use a little more experience and extra speed to complement Jaxon Smith-Njigba in Klint Kubiak's aggressive downfield passing game. Shaheed broke out for Kubiak when the latter also was in New Orleans," Iyer wrote

From last season, kubiak and the Saints
. Said new offense had Derek Carr looking elite in all phases, with former undrafted free agent Rashid Shaheed perhaps the biggest beneficiary.

Shaheed scored the team’s second touchdown on the day, a 70-yard link with Carr. ESPN’s Katherine Terrell provided an interesting note about the touchdown: “With his 70-yard receiving TD, Rashid Shaheed has scored 11 touchdowns in his career. The average distance of his 11 touchdowns -- 51.4 yards.”

A Shaheed breakout is a best-case scenario for the Saints, as that deep threat will force defenses to adjust and let Carr further pick and choose his spots in the medium and short areas of the field, too.

I really like the second one for Bitonio. Bradford has not been as bad as previous years, but still not good, and RG continues to be the weakest link in the otherwise much improved OL. Haynes should be coming back in a few weeks, but he wasn't strong enough to beat out Bradford before so doubt he will be after being sidelined for three months. Best shot for him is likely to get healthy the rest of the year and either go crazy in the weight room or learn how to snap so he can compete with Sundell at center next year. that or find a new team with a hole at LG.

dont like trading for Myers - short-term rental who's gonna want touches in his walk year, then likely to command more dough than we need to spend. Plus he'd be blocking Horton who's got equal if not more upside, on a rookie 5th round contract to boot. We're not that short on weapons - we're hardly using Arroyo as it is.

Thinking they probably hang tough on the OL with Haynes due back...Kubiak is going with only two WEs a lot isn't he?

Candotta on the topic, there's been talk of a running back, Miami?
What are Seahawks' biggest needs?

1. Offensive line. This is one spot where the Seahawks always seem to need an upgrade.

But they are set at both tackle spots and left guard, and probably are content at center.

That leaves right guard, where Anthony Bradford, after some promising moments early in the season, seems to be plateauing. He was called for two penalties Monday night against Houston and has just a 44.4 grade from Pro Football Focus (73rd of 82 guards).

A possibly more likely scenario than adding someone in a trade to compete with Bradford is throwing second-year player Christian Haynes back in the mix.

Haynes has been on injured reserve all season because of a pectoral injury, but Macdonald said Tuesday that he has a chance to return to practice next week when the team returns from its bye.

One veteran guard commonly mentioned as potentially available is Cleveland’s Joel Bitonio. He is a 34-year-old whose contract voids after this season and is making just $1.255 million this year.

2. Nose/defensive tackle. The Seahawks defensive line has been a strength. But they could look to add depth on the interior. Johnathan Hankins, re-signed in the spring to play the same run-stuffing nose tackle role he did a year ago, remains on the non-football injury list because of a back issue, and Macdonald said there is no update on his status.

One player who could fit that bill who may be available? Former Seahawk Shelby Harris, who is with Cleveland on a contract that voids after this season and has only a $2 million salary. PFF rates Harris 29th among all defensive linemen and 18th against the run.

3. Edge rusher. The oft-stated saying is a team can never have enough pass rush.

But Nwosu's play the past few weeks after returning from knee surgery may have the Seahawks feeling OK about its group — especially with Derick Hall expected back next week after missing two games because of an oblique injury.

The Seahawks have the fifth-best pass rush win rate, via ESPN, with Boye Mafe ranked fifth — ahead of big names such as Maxx Crosby of the Raiders and Trey Hendrickson of the Bengals. Nwosu’s five sacks over the past four weeks are tied for the most in the NFL.

4. Anything else? Some might argue the Seahawks could use a running back. But Macdonald this week said he thought backs Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet “had good performances against Houston. The best bet is they would ride it out with what they have, though adding depth is always a possibility.

And the Seahawks seems to be getting what they need out of their receiver group.

They need a running back. But not now. It should be priority in the draft.

Idk who watches this team and thinks we're good at wideout. Easily the biggest upgrade this team could make.

Horton is fine as like a solid no. 4... Kupp hasn't showed up yet. They need another threat to put alongside JSN. Hell, maybe Chris Olave?

Another guy i'd like to see along the lines of Bitonio as an immediate RG upgrade is Kevin Zeitler. titans are rumored to be selling the farm and Kevin's 34 so certainly wouldnt cost much.

I think we are totally fine at receiver. Kupp has plenty of yards for a 2nd receiver, especially on a team that doesn't throw the ball much. There just hasn't been the need gto throw his way much because JSN is wide open all the time. The Hawks are 25th in League in passing attempts and they are 10th in passing yards. Kupp and JSN have combined for 1112 Yards receiving in 7 games. Lamb and Pickens have 1091 with 8 games. Chase and Higgens are at 1080 with 8 games. Nacua and Adams are at 1047 in 7 games. Smith and Brown are at 983 in 8 games . Jefferson and Addison are at 911 in 7 games.

I agree with you, on some of that. But comparing to Lamb and Pickens isn't fair, since Lamb missed 4 games. Comparing to Chase and Higgens is a bit off as well since they suffered through 4 games of Jake Browning looking absolutely lost. The Eagles passing attack has been under constant attack for not being productive and Jefferson and Addison? We wouldn't be even a .500 team with the guys the Vikings are running out at QB. I'm not sure anyone in the NFL would be.

What I do agree with is that Kupp is probably fine, in this offense, unless you can add on the cheap. JSN isn't getting all the targets because he is being forced the ball...he is getting all the targets because no one can cover him!
