Seattle doesn't need Milroe to move up the depth chart this year - we have an experienced back up in Lock. That is literally the point, and how many games has Lock played in this season? One? Why does Milroe need to be the number 2 right now? There is no rush, no urgency, we have two experienced guys ahead of him - it's not a knock on Milroe, it's a nod to Schneider building a reasonably deep QB room. Judging the pick as bad while Seattle is 13-3 and not needing his services - seems like a blessing in that he can develop at whatever pace the team needs. Once again I have to point out the context of the pick - Seattle's QB room was being completely overturned - we went from a Geno and a shit back up to Darnold, Lock and Milroe - I seem to remember most people were pretty excited about the pick at the time. Most people need instant gratification - they play the short game. Milroe is a long game approach. Not too long ago people were complaining about Byron Murphy, too. These are the people that place 4th in thier fantasy league and think they know how to run a real team, despite not knowing what an a-gap is

Was it Jamal Adams where we had similar debates? Also, Spoon vs. Carter? I'm sure there were more.
Hindsight is perfectly acceptable when determining if a pick or trade was a good one or not. In fact, it's the only final
verdict. It
is fair to say "the jury is still out" on a player that's still on the team. It ultimately doesn't matter if the fans
thought it was a good idea or not. You don't have to dislike JS to say a pick or trade was fucked. He makes a lot of picks
and trades. I was excited about the Milroe pick because I love QBs that run a lot. I'm now convinced it was a bad use
of a pretty valuable draft pick. I don't feel guilty about that. I'm not the GM. I never once complained about Byron Murphy and it wouldn't prove anything about Milroe if I did. I don't play FFB, but it wouldn't matter if I did.
The Seahawks reunited with Drew Lock as an insurance policy purchased for a ham sandwich. Nine days later, they
drafted Milroe. That is one hell of a project if JS was thinking Milroe would be the third string emergency QB on
the day he drafted him. The last time he drafted a QB in the 3rd round, it was Russell Wilson. I'm saying only history
will decide if Milroe was a good pick or not. Not discussions on if JS's thought process was sound or not.
Do I know for sure Milroe is a bust? No, he's still on the team. Why do I think he will never amount to shit? I'm
reading the tea leaves. He's not even the back-up. He hasn't been able to replace a ham sandwich. He looked bad
in pre-season where the bar was extremely low. He barely even tried to run and when he did it wasn't effective.
So, not only is he a project as a thrower, he's not showing much promise as a duel threat either.
This guy will never work out. I want to be wrong, but I'm not.
