I think some of us in Seattle take them for granted because we handled them pretty easily, but the are a mirror image of Seattle.
Lockdown big dog defense. Hit or miss offense with sketch QB play.
Hit or miss offense that is third in the League in points per game.
Sketch QB that is 8th in completion percentage, 5th in Yards, 9th in Td's and 2nd in Yards per attempt.
Darnold is significantly better than Stroud in every single passing stat other than interceptions.
Yeah I think the obsession with INTs is a bit much. Obviously they are not good but relative to every else that aren't that big a deal.

Of the 8 remaining QBs he does have the most but not a lot more than average:

Sam 14
Purdy 11
Stroud 8
Stafford 8
Allen 10
Maye 8
Williams 7
Nix 11

Average of 9. So he has 5 more than average. Really an INT is a the same as a very short punt. Let's say (guessing here) the guy making the INT is tackled 10 yard beyond the LOS with the outliers being a pick 6 and a 50 yard bomb that gets picked off and the guy gets immediately tackled.

So that is like a 10 yard punt vs. a typical net average on a punt is 40-45 yards so we will call it 43 yards. So that is a net loss of 43-10 = 33 yards per INT. So Sam had 14 instead of the average of 9. So he has cost the Hawks 14-9 = 5 x 33 = 165 yards more than the average playoff QB.

Obviously no good but when you compare it to his 4000+ passing yards it is really a drop in the bucket.
And Purdy only played 9 games. if you prorated that out to a 17 game season he was on pace for 19.

The only team that scares me at this point is probably Houston with that D & I guess Rams too. Not Denver, Not NE, nobody. Seattle plays Seattles game where Sam doesn't have to be the star just protect the ball & your fine. Keep it simple.

Hoping Rasheed is all the back from that brutal hit and they can utilize him more - Chazz also appears to be a go on special teams-

It's the same 53-man roster limit for playoffs, yes? Or does it flex a little and allow for a couple more players suited up?

I wonder which 53 we are bringing to the party this weekend. A lot of guys who have been dinged up are now healthy and ready with the bye. Players who next man upped have stepped in and done great as well. We are surprisingly deep for this game all over and even in the trenches.

You can't fault coaching so far this season, clock management, halftime adjustments, and the sheer effort these guys are putting forth on the field to finish plays.

My only real question is the brain of Sam Darnold if he sees a ghost.

And if we will officially make McCaffrey fuck off and retire.

Target #1: CMC

Target #2: Jajuan Jennings

Fuck Purdy that's his only 2 targets, you roll coverage to both of those guys on EVERY PLAY. Keep them bracketed the entire time so Purdy has nowhere to go with the ball.

Darnold is better than Stroud, but Stroud is better than he was on Monday night. Stats won't be useful
in the playoffs.

This team doesn't want to get ahead of itself, but my personal feeling is that the Niners are the least of our worries.

He's really not.

65.6% completions 250 yards

Sounds like Pearsall will be active for the game and there's a slight chance Warner could play.

Yep, Stroud has been average to poor all year. Not to mention, explain to me the logic that Stats aren't useful in the playoffs, but the way Stroud performed in the playoffs is also not relevant? Stroud looked a lot like what he has looked like for the past two seasons. Pittsburgh just wasn't good enough to take advantage of that, and the Texan defense bailed him out.
