Lots of celebration photos in the locker room, but this one in particular cracks me up...

That's the thing you can argue all day about it being a dumb rule but guess what it is the rule and the officials are trained and paid to call so they are going to do just that so all you have to do to not get a penalty is not do it. How fucking hard is that? And is it worth the amazing joy you get doing it to risk getting a soul crushing penalty for doing it. Imagine if we had lost. He would have been the biggest goat in NFL history. Would that have been worth the intense pleasure he got from doing it???
Apparently he was warned by a ref after the initial taunting and his response was to run along the Rams sideline trash talking the rest of the team? If that's really what happened then the guy is hopeless and letting him walk is a bigger no-brainer than it was with DK.
Insult to injury He got owned the next play in the end zone. No brain cells just fat up there

You can see the Ref talking to him before he ran down the sidelines.

Hugh Millen ripping on the ref as well for not getting between the players and walking Riq back towards the Seattle side of the field.

Thats my point, I don't think he is. If he had stuck with kubiak it might have saved his career
Stuck with Kubiak? He had Grubb...and I think that was part of the deal. They told him they were moving to Kubiak, and that the run game was the reason why. He probably liked slinging it all over for Grubb, and he also loved playing for Pete. He has never been accused of being very smart. And thank God, I can't imagine this team with Geno.

The reality is that the Rams were in a 4th and 12 situation. Woolen gave them a first down and quick touchdown. His behavior could have cost them the game.

Dodged a bullet there, if you ask me.

It may be that I don't understand a dead ball taunting penalty but shouldn't the result of the 4th down play stood and the ball belong to the Seahawks and the penalty assessed against our offense instead of the giving the Rams a first down?

I mean the play was over and it should have been Seahawks ball.
Great question.
It was third down. The ball wasn't possessed by Seattle, they were going to receive the punt. It was 3rd and 12, so the 15 yards resulted in a first down.

Guys talk shit all game long. I promise you that fucker Nakua was talking all game, and likely Stafford. Riq let his emotions get the best of him, but that was a chickenshit call, and not a flag that should have been thrown at that time.

But Jesus, who the Fuck Cares!? We just won the God Damn NFCCG. Who gives a shit about Riq making a mistake? The dude played damn good football this year.
With all due respect, we will have trouble figuring out what to talk about for the next two weeks without discussing
things like Woolen. I think taunting is the dumbest and most hypocritical flag in football. The whole team can
celebrate in the endzone after an interception and taunt the opposing team's fans, but you can't talk shit to the other
team in some arbitrary way? That's ridiculous. 15 yards for a flag (usually) after the whistle. You could tell there was
a point in that game where the refs chose to make their presence known. It started on a Rams kickoff return where
they called the Rams for a ticky tac block in the back of Bobo. I knew they'd turn around get the Hawks for something
stupid and they did. They never quit throwing flags after that and luckily we got one for the hold on Kupp. Overall,
in hindsight, the flags balanced out, but I don't like to see the refs take that much of a role in how a nail-biter is
going to turn out.
Understood, but we have guys asking like this should cost Riq his job. I think it should cost the official his job...it was chicken shit.

But, as has been mentioned already, and I believe I brought it up earlier as well. The fucking ref told him to go away, and he not only didn't listen, doubled down and went after the Rams sidelines. My belief is he was dishing some smack talk back to those guys....but at that point? Get the fuck off the field.

I thought the same thing when Spoon forced the fourth down incompletion and got in the ref's face wanting a flag. What the Fuck dude, a flag would have resulted in them having another shot on 4th down. That would have meant another attempt at taking the lead or kicking a FG to cut the lead to 1. I like getting the ball back better! Those refs were looking for ANY reason to give the game to the Rams. That, to me? Was obvious. Get off the damn field. After seeing what happened to Riq, he gives these fuckers another shot to throw a pathetic flag at us?
