There was another one that I can't seem to find anymore, but I know it was posted on here. It was an NFL Network guy basically saying that Russ and Ciara got out of their Limo and raised there hands asking for no photos or autographs....and no one was asking for them.Yes, former NFL offensive lineman and analyst Mark Schlereth has been a vocal critic of Russell Wilson, particularly during his time with the Denver Broncos, stating that Wilson's poor play and high cost directly contributed to team failures and job losses within the organization.
Schlereth's criticisms, largely centered around 2023–2024, included the following points:
Costing Jobs: Schlereth argued that the Broncos had to "swallow a historic financial penalty to release him," which was a direct consequence of the team deciding they could not move forward with him, a sentiment linked to the dysfunction that cost people their jobs.
"Garbage" Play & High Cost: Schlereth described Wilson's 2023 performance as "awful" and "55 minutes of dreck," stating that his production did not align with his massive contract, rendering him a liability to the team's success.
"Toxic Positivity": Schlereth has frequently criticized Wilson's upbeat personality, calling it "toxic positivity" that feels disconnected from the reality of poor performances, which he argued was damaging to team culture.
Delusional Leadership: Schlereth accused Wilson of being unable to admit his limitations, labeling him "delusional" for not accepting his decline, which he believed forced the team to move on.
"Radio Gold": When the Broncos finally decided to bench and release Wilson, Schlereth referred to the move as "radio gold," indicating his firm belief that the team was better off without him.
He is a giant douche and got exposed. I remember all the shit about Children's Hospital, and that might have been legit, he might have been trying to give back. But there are a lot of rumblings that he made it very well known when he was going to be there for the photo ops. A real good friend of mine from HS showed me his son's baby picture from Children's when they had to take him there. I was like "Dude, I can't see him!" His reply "Look closer....." The guy next to them was Edgar Martinez. He was just there, visiting kids. No fanfare or photos.
Russ was all about his brand and his ego, and he got what he deserved. The bullshit pre game prep he did when he was hurt, so everyone could see him? Doing exercises in the airplane and then telling the media about it? Come on dude.
