"I think the first thing is you got to make sure that you really like the player, regardless of what the position is," McVay said. "You don't ever want to overreach for a need, hypothetically. The quarterback position is really important, as are a lot of ones.
"We could talk for days about that. But number one, it always goes back to who's the person? What's their skill set, and what's the vision we have for them?"

McVay on picking Simpson, I think that sounds a lot like JS as well terms of Price. The primary thing is to really like the player. That he fits your philosophy, then it's less likely to be a reach

To the number 3 overall pick. Every single expert said they are the only RB1s in the draft but people wanted to wait until later in the draft to add another RB2 or RB3 to our RB room which was basically a homeless encampment before adding Price. btw when are those two trade backs that you predicted going to happen. lolDonn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:40 amWhere he played backup lol

Totally reasonable that he only gets about 50% of the carries as a rookie like Walker did in year 4. I don't hate Holani, the guy from GB or McIntosh, but none of them are worthy have getting 50% of the carries and apparently the Exec. of the year that just won the SB agrees.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 9:56 amIt's pretty crazy really how little football Price has played. It's played up as having a lot of tread left on the tire. But to come in immediately be lead back. That is how it's getting viewed. That's going to be a pretty big jump in production.

Jadarian Price is the first RB in NFL Draft history to be drafted in Round 1 or Round 2 and never reach 125 touches in a single CFB season

I'm fine with the pick. The kid seems likable. I notice in his highlights that he doesn't overdo his celebrations
after his runs. I feel like he understands the mission and his role.
Watching this video, I'm reminded we have a new OC. He seems odd. Odd can be good or bad.

Not pissed, the trade back wasn't there so it's a mute point. I think it been better if JS had kept quiet about it to begin with. It is what it is.
