That would have been a perfect spot for..you know who
I was sitting here thinking Biadasz and then one of the two DEs that are left with the next pick.

I know NOTHING about that RB. Why did he only have 150 Carrie's? Could be good, low mileage, or he isnt durable?

So tired of that bullshit excuse. We reached because we thought someone else might reach. Effing LET someone else reach.
I just wish Pete and John didn't get too spooked too easily about what other teams might do. Hell, the other GMs are probably thinking, "Yes, they fell for it YET again! So goddamn gullible."

Sigh...
I was thinking the same thing. As many times as we have reached early in drafts due to rumors, I bet teams simply float rumors then sit back and chuckle!
You guys do realize that's exactly the type of thinking (by other teams) that landed us the best player in Seahawk history ?? (with apologies to Mr. Jones there - only on account of positional value).

Yep, and that guy is on his third contract. Funny how many guys point back so many years to use an an excuse for reach picks.

Since Earl Thomas, our first picks have been
Carpenter, Ifedi, McDowell, Collier, C Mike, Paul Richardson, Irvin, Clark and Penny. Which one of those game changers has you so sold on their process? Shit, the only one that did enough to earn a second contract we traded away before his last year...and he won a ring somewhere else.

The Harvin and Graham trades have been mediocre, and this roster went from the most talented in the league to one that rides Superman at QB to Wildcard games.

Just so there isn't any Hindsight is 2020 accusations in the future. I want to go on the record say that I would to join Donn Beach in picking Gross-Matos as the guy I would have picked at 27. We will see who has the most impact this season.
I will take you up on that, I think Brookes could have a bigger impact on the season than he is being given credit for, if he manages to step in for Kendricks.

CBS mocked Brookes to the Ravens at 28

I notice that I am far less enthused than I was a year ago after the draft.
What I wonder is how much of that is due to the perception of the quality of players taken and how much is a virus induced doldrums.
Will football even happen this year? What will it look like if it does? Will there be minicamps?
Face it...the comparative value of Brookes and YGM only matter if they play.
For the record. I expect a football season, but...

I have to agree. I think for me it is I don’t trust John as much anymore. No pro bowls position players (Lockett as a returner and a punter) 2 impact players over 4 or 5 drafts (Lockett and Metcalf), One solid DT, one very effective running back. Not much in impact after that. So, seeing him reach AGAIN. It gets tiresome with hisc “find gems because that’s what I do”.

He has found starters. But, how is his defense? oline?

We are as good as we are because of Russ. John hasn’t done well enough in the draft.

Hope I’m wrong. But, this draft feels very reminiscent of the past 4 or 5 drafts.

Oh, I think John is a rockstar at trades.

Clowney, Diggs, Brown, Dunbar, Coleman,

Those are major (Dunbar yet to be determined) impact players.

Hollister for a 7th. Pretty dang good.
