Taylor Grades
Re: Taylor Grades
One of my favorite movies of all time, I've lost count how many times I've seen it.

Re: Taylor Grades
Had the Seahawks traded back to 30, and the Ravens taken Brooks at 28, D. Taylor would have been the pick at #30 in the 1st rd.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 2:19 pmNfl.com is very kind. Love the line in red though. I guess we still have a big need at guard despite having almost 10 guards on the roster...
Seattle Seahawks
Day 1 grade: B
Day 2 picks: Tennessee DE Darrell Taylor (No. 48 overall); LSU OG Damien Lewis (No. 69)
Day 2 grade and analysis: B+
The Seahawks continued to improve their defense by picking a long, strong pass rusher in Taylor. That get-off and toughness is what Pete Carroll wants on the edge. We'll see in time if giving up a third-round pick to move up 11 slots for Taylor, instead of waiting a bit longer or picking Terrell Lewis or another edge player, was a bit too rich. Damien Lewis is powerful and has better foot quickness than he's given credit for. He addresses a big need for the Seahawks.
John Schneider later confirmed this

Wow, he would have taken a guy projected 3rd/4th round at 30. Why am i not surprised?
By the way, how many diamonds in the rough has Johnny boy found in the past 7 years? He can't even do that any more.

I respect your opinion DT but I don't agree with it all. With KJ Wright and Bobby Wagner both close or over 30 years old and with Hendricks major injury and possible jail time coming up for his insider trading conviction. I believe Brooks is a great fit for the Hawks and with the Hawks trouble stopping the run I think Brooks is perfect for the Seahawks.

I hope you are right. Just not sure we couldn't have gotten a LB like him later.Marinerjim11 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 4:55 amI respect your opinion DT but I don't agree with it all.
