Coach Holmes shoul've just jammed it up their asses with Alexander instead of farting around with Jeremy Stephens. Especially late in the game with the lead and possession. Just use lots of clock and only call runs and high-percentage passes that extend drives and just let the clock run out on Pitt. His late-game plan lost the game.

I don't recall the Seahawks having the lead and the ball late in that game.

We never had the lead after half time and scored 10 measly points after averaging 28 a game during the regular season.

We never had the lead after half time and scored 10 measly points after averaging 28 a game during the regular season.

The funny thing is, remember the Green Bay game that required the miracle comeback? If there was one huge flaw Green Bay had that year it was stopping the run, specifically the read option. In that game it took four interceptions, three on slants (foreshadowing?) to get Bevell to dial up the read option. Then we torched them.

So, who knows? Pitt didn’t match up well with us running the ball, so let’s throw it fifty times at five yard per!
