Yeah, I am telling you that wasn't the narrative. There was never a narrative in the first place, the team won ten games. If he had decided to keep grubb nobody would be second guessing that decision. But for whatever reason MM decided to move on from Grubb, that was his decision, he's the coach. After making that decision he made another decision, that was to hire Kubiak, far as I am concerned the two are not even related. One was because he didn't want the guy on his staff, the other was because he did. Everybody can sit around scratching their asses pondering on why he canned Grubb but its MM that knows the answer, its his team, he gets to pick his staff. I honestly don't understand the hard part about that

When did I say he couldn't pick his staff? I laid it out multiple times this off season why I thought Grubb was a scapegoat, and why anyone that thought we should just run the fucking football was crazy. I pointed it out again after Sunday's fucking shit show. Have a problem with it, I don't give a shit, but this is a fucking forum to talk Seahawks. The Seahawks made a decision this off season that all they needed was a new Guard and some new coaches and the entire offense was gonna be fine. Instead? They set the game of football back four decades, and had to watch while Grampa Pete and Geno set the world on fire.

this is the deal, you go on and on not agreeing with MM firing Grubb. I don't see where you get a vote. It's his team, his staff, he makes those decisions. No one is arguing that. Are you going to tell me that there many comments in here about how Grubb needed to just run the ball? Are you going to tell me there weren't many calling for his head? Shit, several guys watched that fucking waste of shoulder pad material Howell play QB and blamed the fucking OC? Stink was on 710 every week blaming the OC. MM and Schneider all but said it themselves, and actually I am pretty sure Mr Beach himself posted a comment by Schneider after the draft defending only adding one O Lineman by saying they have what they need, they needed to scheme them up better. Well? Either he is full of shit, which makes sense since he appears to have no clue what a real O Line looks like, or he was wrong about Kubiak, because that was a dogshit offensive performance.

To say it's not worth mentioning how one OC had to coach a game with Sam Fucking Howell at QB to have a game as putrid as Kubiak just did? Is flat out sticking your head in the sand. Which, IMO? Is exactly what JS is counting on. He'll probably get five more years for it.

The 49ers scored inside the two minute warning. At that time? Darnold had 88 yards passing. In the fucking year 2025, this offense had 88 yards passing in 58 plus minutes of football. Yep, nothing to see here, no worries...it's only one game. Losing the first one is less important than later. If we miss the playoffs by a game they will round up and let us in because our loss was week one, when it's still pre-season. Every other team in the division was ready to play football. They are all 1 and 0. I wonder if they realize they wasted all of that energy winning a Pre-Season game?

But Mike, the defense. Well? Go check the defensive stats. Of course the 9ers are ranked high, they played Kubiak's Kids. The Hawks are 25th in Total Defense. Everyone in the Division is ranked higher. So? The "bright spot" from Sunday is that there are 7 Defenses in the entire NFL that gave up more yards than we did on Sunday.

This team STUNK. And all this fan base does is make excuses. No wonder they extended a GM after missing the playoffs 3 out of four years. This team is 1 and 4 in the playoffs the past 8 years. They extended the GM after that and everyone in here threw a party. Again, I should have seen this coming.

I didn't throw a party. I wondered what unholy acts Jody made JS perform to get it. Like I said, since 2016 the Mariners have won more playoff games than the Hawks. Let that sink in.

Last time I checked, Jody was the owner. She's the one who signed JS, and he's the one who hired MM. They're all accountable to her.

In terms of selling the team, does anyone know what the timeline is? And a new owner doesn't necessarily mean it will be better. Remember the Ken Behring years?
