you guys can question whatever you feel like questioning, its fine with me, you think my feelings are hurt or something? You convinced me PC can't coach, Sibelius has convinced me that JS hasn't done shit with the draft, so how do they keep making the playoffs?...I guess it must be all RS...how is that a melt down?... just trying to follow the logic here, come on
Once again, you are taking a grey area and trying to make it black and white. Have you read the comments in here basically saying Pete is above criticism? Because I have. I actually was told that the game plan against Green Bay didn't change from the first half to the second...that Russ just finally started executing.

I even asked the simple question....has anyone of us ever heard the National Narrative after a Playoff Loss by Tom Brady or Peyton Manning be "why the hell don't they let their Franchise Qb play?" I feel it is a valid point. But, what I hear from the Pete Disciples is that those people just don't understand football. So, someone with no dog in the fight mentions it, the guy from the Ringer wrote a very good article about it, a huge Seahawk fan blogged about it, Michael Bumpus and Brock Huard have mentioned it....but non of these people get it?

2 to 22 in the first half. Seriously...let that sink in! Team's coached by Pete Carroll average 2 effing 1st half points in the second round of road games. So, I am told that it is virtually impossible to win on the road...we need to get the bye so the second round is at home. So, I ask the question how can we continue to get beat by the bad teams in our division and expect that to happen. Crickets.

Que the blame game. Injuries, shitty O Line, shitty safeties, no pass rush.

Well, who drafted LJ Collier, Lano Hill (now so bad he dropped two letter off his first name) Tedrick Thompson, Malik McDowell, Trey Flowers and Shaq LB Thompson? Pete runs EVERYTHING. Head Coach and VP of Football Operations. BUT....he gets credit for Super Bowls and playoff appearances, but no blame when they lose Super Bowls and playoff games. How great would that be?

So....before any of you type a response with the Strawman of, yep, Pete sucks, we should fire him. Read it again. Read everything I have posted and find where the words "fire him" or "he sucks".

I simply see this a few ways, and much like I saw the Husky football situation. I felt, even before Coach Pete stepped down, that this team would be better of with Kwitkowski running the defense and Jimmy the HC. Why? Eventually we were going to lose Jimmy, and I felt Jimmy would hire an OC that wasn't brand new and a friend. Lesser of two evils. Lose Jimmy and then Pete retires a few years later and we are sunk.

How is that relative? Well, I feel if Pete is never going to adapt he needs to move upstairs. He is a great motivator, not sure how he couldn't do that as the VP, and he has done a dang fine job of building this roster. Which, is one of the reasons I scoff when people blame the talent for why we can't advance. The other option, and the one I think is less likely (actually, neither of these scenarios will ever happen because Pete's ego won't allow it), is he actually realizes he is a defense guy, hires a young offensive mind and allows them some freedom.

I like it when the Hawks are a championship contender. There's no bigger statistical edge in sports than obtaining the first round bye in the NFL playoffs. So, I enjoy a season where that path is in play. I like playoff games, and I like regular season games where the Hawks are the league front-runner. Hopefully they can get out of the gate strong in 2020 and get the fans fired up. Maybe even some big first half leads!

We were sitting pretty at 10-2 and then laid eggs to all three of our old nemesis. (is the plural of nemesis, nemesi?) ha

Interesting question posed by this guy. I am a ceiling guy.

"The Pete Carroll dilemma comes down to one question: is the team’s floor or ceiling more important to you?"

"FWIW I do not think Seattle should move on from Carroll, at least not right now. I do think it’s MUCH more debate-worthy than many fans would like."

So stick with Pete because he keeps the floor away, playoff usually each year, but realize that the ceiling stops short of another title.

Do I have that right?

If so, I call bullsh*t. Jason doesn't look old enough to know what the Seahawk floor looks like. The difference between the Hawks and the 49ers this year is about 3 inches, the width of the goal line. Nobody is putting a ceiling on the 49ers. It's ridiculous to think that the Hawks are not right there with them. Maybe if we didn't lose all three of our RBs. Maybe if we didn't lose our answer to Kittle at TE early in the season.

Good point. Speaking of age, I am doing a demographics assessment regarding what members age is on the M's forum. I am 52. How about you HB?

Curious how many of you remember this era?

Foeman or is it foemen?

4-4 @ the Clink this year. Say wat? If that was the only fact we knew we would have to conclude that we had a losing team this last season.

The scramble at the 1:39 mark makes RW seem like Jacob Eason. He was almost 30 yards behind the LOS!

48... I had a poster of Jim Zorn and Steve Largent on my wall. I don't remember those first couple of seasons, when they played without the logo, but I do remember the Hawks 1979 season when they went 9-7. I became a lifer after the 1983 season when we went all the way... all the way mind you to the AFCCG. LOL
